"I spent $392 yesterday," Mendez said. "I got nothing. I've been playing 35 years."

 No Pity!

He has probably been playing a guitar for 35 years cause California Lottery started on November 6, 1984            so even if he played from the very first day it would be 25 years in November.

If he is so good at math no wonder he thinks he spent $392.
