Not that you can always tell but unless someone was driving their Mercedes across town to do their laundry...It sounds like blue collar working poor person won the jackpot..Which almost makes up for someone in NY "Taking" my Jackpot again!!  LOLDisapprove

Lotto player not in NY state:

      NY always wins

      NY lotto player not upstate:

      "Upstate always wins"

Lotto player uostte, not in Catskill

      "Catskill always wins"

Lotto player in Catskill who did not play at the Clothespin Laundrymat

"People who play at the Clothespin always win"

      etc...etc...ad nauseam

      Bang Head

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any.

      Lep

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

Doesnt appear so according to the Nylottery.org website.

          Winning Counties: Greene

          Retailer Locations:

          • CLOTHESPIN LAUNDROMAT, RTE 9W WALMART PLAZA, CATSKILL

Looks like they used their own numbers so a big congrats to whoever it was, who just beat the 1 in 195 million odds!Hurray!

It gives me hope when I hear about people winning jackpots without using the quick pick option , it just makes me think to myself that I might not always have to depend on a Quickpick to "try" to win the Jackpot.

NySlugger777, how do you deduce that from what you have posted?

you are right though, they beat the odds.

I use a mix of QPs and My picks to try and win.

Now, talk about lucky. No one knows where the winning ticket will be, next.

Come to think of it, since the ticklet was sold in a laundromat, someone come up with a lotto variation of "No tickee no washee".

I think you need to read it again.

"Patel said there are often winners of smaller amounts who play scratch-offs or other lottery games — with one gambler taking home $45,000 in one purchase" — but there has never been a jackpot of such magnitude there.

Another words that person won that amount playing scratch-offs or the other lottery games that the NY lottery offers that he just happens to sell in his laundromat!

Keep dreaming the impossible dream, it just may come true! Thumbs Up

Don't forget to also change your last name to Patel. It seems that name comes up a lot in lottery stories, whether as them being the winner or having sold the ticket. There's been at least 4 others involved in either winning or selling winning tickets for $1,000,000 or more.

Patel is an east Indian last name. Not for nothing, but most convenience stores in NY are usually owned by east Indians.
