I'm not familiar with Hot Lotto.

Is it possible to select all your bonus balls and get the other numbers by Quick Pick?

I'd love a partial QP box.  Whatever numbers aren't selected would be QPs.  I'd honestly prefer that to an expensive key wheel, so if I liked to numbers and a mega ball, I could QP the other 3 5 times or something.  Although I guess I could find something for that online.

        Tenaj,

And sometimes things are due to nothing but just luck.

Say you're at a baseball game and get up to go to the concession stand or something and right after you do the batters hits a line drive foul ball that would have really injured you.

Not much planning or correct knowledge in that, such things just happen that way.

Take the guy in Iowa, he was about to give up and decided to play one more time. Not luck?

Yes, it was luck, Coin Toss, but I believe that there were things he had done to get there.

Anytime you can insert "piggly wiggly" into a conversation it has to put a smile on your face.  As a boy in Oklahoma when I went to visit my grandma the first thing I would ask was "Can we go to piggly wiggly?"

Doesnt anyone think its weird that in the last 3 months ,   there has been  4 different wins in the lottery in webster City ia   where the hot lotto jackpot was won ?   First there was a  1 million dollar winner there , then  a 100, 000  winner on a scratch off winner  and 3 days after that there was a 25,000 winner on a scratch off ticket and now the hot lotto was won in this same town of webster city , ia. population of a little over 8,000 ppl.    I have heard from some good sources that the lottery knows where the big scratch off winning tickets will be sent to dif stores . Doesnt anyone think that big headlines will make more lottery sales?  Let me know what you all think.  Thanks,  jonstrue2u

                Hi rdgrnr.....

I was thinking the same thing....

Also...in whatching the video, the decimal point behind the first "9" looks so faint

that the jackpot amount looks like it could read $909 Million (....imagine that jackpot!)

Based on the fact they played every bonus number, I strongly suspect it was a wheel.  (See my previous post near the start of this thread.)

God help anyone using something written by Dickkerson.  Several screws loose with that guy.

LOL!!!.....I don't even know who Dickkerson is but based on you comment...I don't think I want to!

Congratulations Larry Dawson on your Iowa Hot Lotto sole jackpot win!US Flag

I wonder if Larry will be claiming the monies as a one-time, lump sum payment option.

If claiming as lump-sum, I wonder if Larry will be claiming the approximate $3.38 million net under: his name only, a trust name, his business' name, or a combo of names (and at what percentage split each; as each would be taxed at a different fed and state tax rate ... though I don't know what each of those would be). However, I don't know if a mere financial planner would be savy enough to do so, perhaps only a tax lawyer would be savy enough to do a few claiming divisions in order to lower the tax burden, etc..

Having several millions of dollars in my financial accounts means receiving several valuable services each day!

Don't know about Iowa but in Idaho you can QP the 5 white balls, and separately QP the bonus ball.

                      Jimmy

In Florida our Powerball playslips allow us to do that to. I usually pick my own powerball number and let the computer pick the 5 numbers. I always think even if I don't match the powerball I may win $200,000 on the quick pick numbers. Congrats to Larry Dawson on a great win.

Actually, I don't think it's any weirder than the Miracle Mile in Fond du Lac Wisconsin having their abundance of winners.

Anomalies and happenstance. All normal and to be expected from time to time.
