It's impossible to win the biggest Lottery in history and be annonymous because people talk.

I don't think the superindent is being malicious probably just a little too excited about the Powerball millionaires generosity.

Everytime she spents a dime or makes a donation, it will make the news.

Here's the school receiving the donation:

Schenk High School

I Agree!

$2 million to fix this roof? That amount of money would go a long way towards building a brand new school especially since it has less than 200 students. It must be union contractors charging them this much to patch up the existing roof.

I was thinking the same thing.Could it be that the school board is getting kickbacks?

It seems like there are some people in the community of East Millinocket who don't think the $2M dollar donation is enough to fix "all" the repairs needed at the school.

Here is a video news report:

This is the perfect example of why rich people donate money to charities or for a certain cause annoymously.

Following the trends and patterns means following the money!Banana

I don't think anyone thought he said it to be malicious. But perhaps somewhere in between being told he would get the money and calling the press to let them know, the definition of anonymous should have entered his head.

This certainly isn't about the paparazzi following her around and relaying everything she does. That's completely different than calling someone and telling them she's willing to help the school out but she doesn't want it publicized and that school not adhering to her wishes. No one would have known it was here had the superintendent not made it public. That makes him a tool. Chair

I didn't even think about that. Probably because I had thought it was a much bigger school. They said they needed $7 million to fix everything that needs to get fixed there. But you're right. For $7M surely they can build a school, and a much bigger school at that. Seems really high.

I admire her for being so generous and giving back to community. I hope other winners are like her, that aside from sharing their blessing to their family I hope they will share it to their community as well. I hope to win the lottery soon so I can give back to my community too.
