1.3 billion is a low estimate just judging by how much this drawing increased. It increased 450 million from the last drawing. Same amount of sales would make it 1.4 billion. Of course there is a chance that some people spent way more then they could afford to and will not have money for Wed drawing

I expect the jackpot to go up more, that's what happens when more money is spent to put in for the jackpot. I do feel very bad for those that spend over 1,000 + and probably not even won that money back.

I have to say it'll go to at least 1.7 billion.... easy... so many new players will play...

Goodness! Wouldn't be surprised to see people you would never expect (priest, nun, etc) to play waiting in line for tickets in the next few days. Good luck everyone!

THOSE are some pretty numbers on Powerball site. Darn!  Expect a $1.7B Jackpot Wednesday.  People will throw even the kitchen sink at Powerball these next coming days!

I think the jackpot will be around that amount as well, néw players will play and even longer lines now in the stores. People want to win to become part of something historic.

unless I'm participating in a work pool tonight pretty much confirmed why I never spend more than $2 on Powerball.  My uncle bought $250 worth of tickets.  He had two numbers on a few tickets and the Powerball on 4 tickets and that's it.  He won about $36 tonight and that's it.  Reminds me of a friend who played briefly in the NBA in the 90's bought over $1000 tickets back when it first reached in the 300 millions and barely won $100.  Ugh.  lol

Actually Washington Wizards rookie Chris Singleton spent $10,000 on Mega Millions tickets and lost lol. Not sure if won any of the smaller prizes. But when you got that kind of money already it doesn't matter. You don't even need to play the lottery. But I would say if you can afford my chances it is worth increases your odds some.
