Indiana Lottery

By Todd Northrop

Indiana lottery players check your tickets: a lottery ticket worth more than a million bucks is about to expire.

The winner bought the Hoosier Lotto ticket last October at the Circle K located at 139 W. Lagrange Road in Hanover, Indiana.

The ticket for the drawing on Sat., Oct. 28, 2017, matched all six numbers and is worth $1.5 million. The winning numbers were 5, 8, 28, 33, 38, and 40.

All Hoosier Lottery prizes must be claimed within 180 days, so this winner has until 5 p.m. Thursday to claim their cash.

If you bought a Hoosier Lotto ticket in Hanover last fall or know someone who did, you'll want to double check that ticket.

The Hoosier Lottery is also on the lookout for the winner of a $50,000 Powerball ticket sold at the 7-11 in Bristol, Indiana. The ticket matched four of the five winning numbers in the Nov. 1 drawing, but not the Powerball. The winning numbers were 3, 6, 19, 26, and 44, with Powerball number 1.

The Powerball winner has until 5 p.m. on Monday, April 30 to claim their prize.

If you are one of the lucky winners, contact Hoosier Lottery customer service at 1-800-955-6886 for specific claim instructions.

I Agree!  I cannot imagine the heartache these players will feel the day after the expiration dates.

I guess that the Indiana lottery is getting a lot of stories from different people claiming the prizes. "My dog ate it". "My home burned down". etc. etc.

A guy l know once said “ l  treat my purchase of lottery tickets or scratchers like concert tickets, l paid, so l want to see a performance.“ He said he would “ lose it” if he lost his tickets. He has a point.

*Why buy if your winning ticket ends up in the wash or landfill?

Probably not an addict. Conscious or comatose, I know where my bottle of JD is at any given moment

Martyn and Kay Tott from London, England can teach us players a lesson. Their story is here on Lottery Post using the Search box. It is a terrible story.

They forgot to watch the Lottery draw one night and also forgot to check their ticket. They lost out on three million pounds.

This destroyed their marriage. Kay could not talk about it and cried when she tried. Martyn was angry about the rules.

There's still a few hours left. Right now, at this very minute, some shady lawyer who represents an unknown trust from Central America may be putting the ticket in his briefcase.

The time is up and we have not heard one way or another if the ticket and winnings are lost.

Disapprove

There is not an update on the Hoosier Lottery website. Be patient now. LOL

Do you live on the long Coast of CA?  White Shores? I am jealous.

Will we hear anything from the Hoosier Lottery?

Hi Todd,

Just noticed you made mention of that $50,000 Powerball ticket in your article which was set to expire this coming Monday.

Just so you know the winners came forward (see the lottery website for details).
