The Tennessee Lottery released its first "Tennessee-only" jackpot game with drawings every day, including Sundays.

Tennessee lottery players now have a shot at the first daily jackpot drawn exclusively in-state in a game called Daily Tennessee Jackpot.

"The Lottery keeps its games creative, fresh and exciting, which helps us accomplish our mission of raising valuable dollars for education programs in the state," Lottery CEO Rebecca Paul, said in a press release. "We're proud to have raised more than $6.6 billion for these programs, and new games like Daily Tennessee Jackpot will appeal to those players who enjoy jackpot games."

At $1 a play, players choose five numbers between 1 and 38 or may select the Quick Pick option to allow the computer to randomly generate numbers for you.

Beating the odds of 1 in 501,942 by matching all five numbers will win the jackpot, which starts at $30,000 and increases until it is won.

The odds of winning any prize in the game are 1 in 8.36.

For another $1, players can also choose to add the Quick Cash feature to their play. The add-on is an instant-win option that can award up to $500 immediately once the ticket is printed.

If any of the Quick Cash numbers printed on the ticket match any of the Daily Tennessee Jackpot numbers printed on the ticket, the player will win the prize amount shown next to the matching Quick Cash number, the Lottery explained. Prizes range from $2 to $500.

One Quick Cash purchase applies only one time to multi-draw tickets.

Players may also play the same numbers for up to seven consecutive drawings at a time, including the current drawing.

Daily Tennessee Jackpot drawings take place every day at 9:00 pm CT (10:00 pm ET). Up-to-date lottery results are available on Lottery Post's Tennessee Lottery Results page.

The first drawing of Daily Tennessee Jackpot was on Sunday, Nov. 13.

Sounds like a cool game.

The fact that it is drawn 7 days a week and the jack-pot just continues to increase is exciting. I live just outside of Nashville. I think this game has quickly become a favorite for a lot of people.

🥳👏❤️

Kind of like Georgia's Fantasy 5 game with less numbers to choose from. (We have to pick five numbers from 1-42).

I like this for them.

Great odds but you got to hit all 5 numbers to win any money.  Any numbers less than 5 ,  and you just really giving away your money.  It sucks!.   Better to just get you a 1.00 scratch off 😂

The Ohio Lottery offered the 5/37 Buckeye 5 game with a fixed $100,000 jackpot in 1992. Not sure if TN's 5/38 game will get much play until the rolling jackpot gets north of at least $100,000.

The good news is after just five drawings the jackpot is up to $80,000.

I'm guessing most of the sales (after the lottery's 50% cut) is allocated to the jackpot, so they can't support a better 2nd place prize without cutting into the other prize levels. I couldn't find the docs on the lottery's website to confirm it though.

Just from looking at the past results and doing some crude math, if they eliminated the lowest $1 prize, they could probably support a $500 2nd prize. But from the lottery's point of view that $1 prize is very important because most winners will use it to buy another ticket.

Good luck to all.

I think you're spot on. Our Cash 5 jackpot is fixed at $25,000, with a cap at $75,000. If more than 3 jackpot winners, it becomes paramutuel. Also, 2 correct numbers only wins a free ticket instead of $1, and 4 correct number wins $350. 3 correct numbers only pays $15. To support the $350 means sacrificing the $1 - 2/5 prize, and a better 4/5 prize.

To me, a free ticket is practically worthless.

Are your free tickets quick picks or do they at least let you pick your own numbers? The lowest prize in CA Fantasy Five is a free quick pick for 2/5, which I agree is practically worthless. They're only good for saving up in big batches for when the jackpot rolls over several times.

Free tix are QP's only.

I've said it before (even griped to a TX Lottery Rep) that our jackpot games have poor jackpots for the odds. Of course, he doesn't have any control over that. But it felt good to jab him...LOL.

Right!!! I have no trust in TN lottery. I live in TN but I refuse to play any lottery. nobody is winning. I play Kentucky.. It's worth the drive. You will constantly stay broke playing TN lottery.

Just another game to steal your money. They created this game to steal money. They will never allow anyone to hit this game.
