Michigan players get extra shots at winning bonus prizes this month

The Straight Back Bonus promotion has returned to the Michigan Lottery, which will offer extra chances at winning bonus prizes in both Daily 3 and Daily 4.

This month, Michigan lottery players have additional shots at winning prizes in Daily 3 and Daily 4 with the reemergence of the Straight Back Bonus promotion.

The promotion, which began on Jan. 1, awards bonus prizes to players whose Daily 3 and/or Daily 4 numbers match the drawn numbers in reverse order, hence the phrase "straight back." The promotion runs for a "limited time," according to the Lottery.

Daily 3 players who match the winning numbers in reverse order will win a $100 prize on a $1 Straight wager and $50 on a 50 cent Straight wager while the promotion is active. Daily 4 players will win a $1,000 prize on a $1 Straight wager.

"For example, if a Daily 3 player picks 1-2-3 and the numbers drawn are 3-2-1, the player wins $100," the Michigan Lottery explains. "If a Daily 4 player picks 1-2-3-4 and the numbers drawn are 4-3-2-1, the player wins $1,000!"

The promotion applies to Straight bets only and does not include the other four wagers, which are Boxed, Wheeled, 1-Off, and 2-Way. Regular prize amounts vary based on the selected play type and the order in which the winning numbers are drawn.

When purchasing Daily 3 and Daily 4 tickets, players may choose their own numbers or opt for a Quick Pick. Daily 3 and Daily 4 drawings each take place twice a day, seven days a week, first at 12:59 p.m. EST and again at 7:29 p.m. EST.
