a poll about annuities and lump sum
This is one of my pet peeves. How did this idea ever come about that annunities are bad. I know in the short time I have been here this subject has really been discussed in great detail. This is what I know speaking for Florida only!! The Lottery Commission in Florida wants desperately to buy back annunities from folks that have choses to go that way. In the fine print it states that if a Lottery winner makes more in interest during the life of the annunity (the anticipated return

If you hit the jackpot
My state, Louisiana, allows the use of trusts and LLCs to claim prizes, and many winners have done that, sending an attorney or other such representative to collect the prize. Anonymity isn't a yes/no thing. It's more about how anonymous you want to be, i.e. how hard you want to make it to be found. In most states, LLCs and corporations are required to have the name(s) and address(es) of owners/officers be on the paperwork, which is public record. Most states put this information online an

No Lottery State Roundup
I'm sure that this has been discussed here before, but I figured what-the-heck. NORTH CAROLINA - In development, Powerball ALABAMA - ??? MISSISSIPPI - ??? NEVADA - I'm guessing not likely, if anything, would be casinos selling powerball UTAH - Haha! Yeah right... WYOMING - What's going on with this one? ALASKA - ??? HAWAII - ???

WHO is going to show you how to win w/ positive R.O.I. Long term
Always appreciate your hands on reality input, Stack Keno numbers that appeared together over a short period. knowing which numbered appeared the most over a short time isn't much help unless you're playing a 1-spot. ~S Just try yo get a long term 6-7- or 8 spot frequency report over 300 games, no dice to trend pattern players. I would love to know what 8 spots fell over last 1000 games, there are practical limits to extremes, now wouldn't you? Aye, Power of 1; one spot 3-1 payout is c

Is this legal?
I did read the article (duh, I posted it, nicht var?). How does the fact you can copy and paste prove you actually read it? And if you did read it, why did you say Usually those who run such pools save the best squares for their friends and try to get others to buy the not so good squares. when the article clearly explained the numbers are drawn after the squares are filled? And for your information, where sports betting is legal 13 run baseball pools are far more popular. The su

Do any systems actually work?
Well once again you've shown you get your concepts and opinions from books and not from experience. You're absolutely correct because I have no experience as a problem gambler. Do they have counseling for old dealers that can't stay on topic and go off on unrelated tangents? Do you have any idea what their success rate is treating degenerates in Vegas? The topic is systems and everyone but you is discussing lottery systems. FYI, Nevada doesn't have a state lottery game. Since you're

What's the best lotto book?
would people be willing to spend their lottery money on anything other than tickets if they knew there is absolutely no way for them to increase their chances of winning a jackpot, other than to buy more tickets? I don't know what's going on between your ears, but I assume players buy a ticket for a chance at winning millions and some buy more tickets to get extra chances. It's none of my business if they have to make a choice between buying a life changing chance or other stuff. What else

inunel: KENO NUMBERS That follow each other?
Hey ridge, et al, you are spot on! My point with this follow up on the elusive inumel, is that the uninitiated newbies players really have very little understanding with what they are trying to accomplish, let alone the forces of sobriety that oppose their sincere but misguided efforts - and many of the system sellers systematically loot these innocents. Usually those who pursue the Golden Fleece (Arganouts) are the ones who become flecced themselves..... Having said that (and not inten

Cash Vs Annuity Payments
This is my first post here and I joined just to get comments on my supposition. So here goes. In my state, there is a 7% state tax on lottery winnings. If I won the top prize tonight and chose the annuity, could I not pay the 7% on the 1st year's annuity payment AND THEN move to Wyoming or Nevada or Florida where there is NO state income tax and receive the rest of the annuity payments free of state tax for the next 25 years? It would mean millions of extra dollars. Also I t

Paranoid...or Prepared?
I am also a single female....mid-20s though. 1.) I would tell my family but not for at least 6 months to a year. During that time I would still live as I always had while secretly making the transition (setting up trusts; buying or building a new home; etc.). I want to get used to the idea of being a millionaire and really think through who I'll be sharing my winnings with and how much. I've always lived by the motto that if you want to keep something a secret you tell NO ONE. So I know if I
