How do you deal with lottery losses?
I was just in my garage decluttering and tinkering what to my surprise I came across an envelope full of Ohio Lotto tickets from 1985. Not kidding. That was the year I won $800 some bucks. It was 2 lines for a dollar. I counted them up and had about $180 some dollars in losing tix. No idea why I brought them to TX except they probably got tossed in with other stuff not knowing or caring what they were. They were printed with the old dot matrix printers. That's how many years I've been playi

Store-specific lottery ticket paper?
At the moment I've got tickets from NY, PA, and DE handy and they're the same width as close as I can tell by lining them up and looking. It's possible, but I doubt any state is dumb enough to let their vendors make terminals that use different sizes, and therefore require stocking multiple sizes and sending the right size. The terminal would probably work with a generic paper roll (possibly even a slightly different width) from an office supply store, but the tickets wouldn't be valid because t

Ontario Lottomax Experiment
I do not know how Tommy C is using quick picks to pick his own numbers. But, here is my theory. He takes all the numbers that appear in the quick pick tickets and creates a sorted list. Then he takes the 7 numbers that appear the fewest number of times and plays those numbers. Why? Because he believes that quick picks are selected by the lottery organizer to be the losing numbers so the jackpot will roll. The draw machine is then programmed to pick the numbers most likely not played by t

I totally agree on the minute advantage that a lottery pool gives in terms of being able to buy more tickets per drawing and spreading the cost. However, that advantage comes with reduced earnings should you win. I will just play my $3 and cross my fingers, lol

Yes. The odds are way high. And lottery in itself is random. Some patterns and trends show up but are short lived.Especially with the larger jackpot games like Powerball and Megamillions. At times We tend to feel that We are closer to finish line. On those days, not being part of a pool or inability to pay more tickets hits... Good Luck

A serious lottery pool should have rules and not just a gentleman agreement they should be written in black and white. It's always best to make copies of the tickets before the draws and share them with members so everyone is looking out for the winner. The rule of thumb is if you don't feel comfortable with the processes, you can just bail out and play solo.

Lotto Jackpot Questions
The Lottery Officials would not and could not by law pay you the jackpot twice. The advertised jackpot amount is a fixed amount. However, they'd probably cut you one check for the full amount of the advertised jackpot (minus taxes) but that's IF you are the sole winner. If you were not the sole winner, then the parimutuel aspect of the game kicks in. If you had either of two winning tickets or two identical lines printed on your ticket then you'd win two thirds of the advertised jackpot amo

How do I find a lottomax pool in my area?
Are you serious? Every ticket in the set you were given has at least 3 lines with a QP at the end. Some tickets have 6 lines with a QP at the end. You cannot see that? And you say you have a system you are working on to predict lottery numbers and yet you cannot read a lottery ticket?
