Tinkermen Lotto Report - General Explanation of Mathematical Discovery needed
Mr-B, G and Cottoneyedjoe, I am very humbled today by our discussion and with what you ve all openly shared with me thus far and I m so very grateful and appreciated of your time by this discussion. Please give me the benefit of the doubt here and allow me some more time to process (I m partially in full on total shock to learn of all of this in this manner) and allow me some more time to move forward with my initial train of thought. I would like to honor both LP and all its members and T

How to simulate a distribution and use the lottery's own randomness against itself.
Jade has done a lot of hard work and posted it for us to use, if we wish. With all due respect, Tucker Black, from this post, you don't seem to believe in game theory which is pure mathematics. in fact you utter these words: This is the superstition of numbers chosen more frequently in the past are more likely to hit in the future which is just as false as the superstition numbers chosen less frequently in the past are due to hit in the future . I have written lots of programs to simulate

Mathematics and the Lottery
There was some added remarks on that thread so I am not sure who wrote this...but I wanted to correct it..because if I read this right...I KNOW ITS WRONG... (The only record of lottery digit history is the pairs) NOW that STATEMENT is ABSOLUTELY WRONG...I will INFORM YOU that there are 2 other FIELDS running with your PAIRS....AND YOU HAVE..... 0-9 SINGLE DIGITS...AND THEY HOLD AS MUCH needed INFORMATION AS YOUR pairs.. 00-99...A PAIR...those to also have much needed informatio

What Does It Take To Win (Mathematically Speaking?)
(Mentioning my work back-testing one of RickG's Pick-3 systems was in no way meant to criticize him.) JosephusMinimus says, But I concede in advance I'm wrong and you are right. It's not clear to me what you're wrong about this time. My viewpoint is supported by the statistics of his prediction history. Since you seem to be contending that I was wrong when I concluded that one of RickG's Pick-3 systems was not a winner using a 20+ year back-test, then you are WRONG again. BTW, he

Statistics around the balance of even/odd and small/big numbers
RL-RANDOMLOGIC, You said, I take 100 of so samples of different sizes from different points within my database and analyse them to see how well each sample follows the matrix and look for a margin of error from the expected. This and the rest of your posting is a paraphrase of much of what you've been writing here for months. ...a margin of error from the expected. Hmmm... You insist you don't look back, so just what are you saying here? This posting doesn't tell us anything of value, and

Statistics around the balance of even/odd and small/big numbers
RL-RANDOMLOGIC, Your observation of the difference in the frequency of sets with more or less odd or even numbers is analogous to observing that the sum of the 5 numbers in a majority of sets falls into a minority of the total range of possible sums. The same is true for observing the number of unique digits in a set, or the average spread between the numbers. None of these patterns have anything to do with the probability of any particular set emerging. They just ARE! I thought my poi

I cracked Pick6...But to do it i first need the answer to these 2 questions..
i don't know anything about law...But again they don't have to pay me...The way i see it is They are paying me for keeping my mouth shut ...If they like i can sign a contract where if i divulge anything i get put in prison...Also you may ask, why did i spill the beans why did i mentioned it here in LP, the second reason after the one i mentioned earlier is because i simply didn't want to get killed and if something was to happened to me, i'll feel happy that i told someone....If i was to keep th

Quick Picks can't match the power of Self Picks
In gambling cirlces such players are called grinders and are seen as no threat to the house whatsoever. If they win, they blow it back, if they lose they come back with more of their own $, but they come back. There is a gambling circle of sorts on this forum under jackpots, the MADDOG challenges. I believe they are a good indicator of predictors, a level playing field. There is also a predictions section, I don't see CToss or KYFloyd with nary a prediction on either, hmmmmm..... Inste

Can math and logic improve chances of winning a jackpot?
explaining to me and others how annoying it is to you that I'm telling you things you ALREADY KNOW? What is the point of telling someone who watched the Superbowl the Baltimore Ravens won the game? As for identities - you go to great lengths to try to convince others that I'm NOT a mathematician Your probabilities are basic 8th grade, but you look for a complex formula written by a known mathematician and try to pawn them off as if they were yours. And you even include yourself alon

The Powerplay Option
Boney526, Please double check my calculations. If they're correct, it seems to me that the $3 Powerplay is a better bet than the $2 ticket, especially if you ignore the 5+0 and 5+1 Jackpots. It's still not much consolation though. I wonder how many people would play Roulette if the payouts there were structured in proportion to these? As usual, choosing a payout value for the 5+1 is problematic. If they really do pay back 0.50, an adjustment would need to be made there. It's surprising th
