Benford’s Law and The Lottery!
Benford s Law and The Lottery Benford's law, also called the first-digit law, states that in lists of numbers from many real-life sources of data, the leading digit is 1 almost one-third of the time, and larger numbers occur as the leading digit with less and less frequency as they grow in magnitude, to the point that 9 is the first digit less than one time in twenty. This counter-intuitive result applies to a wide variety of figures, including electricity bills, street addresses, stock

When is there a positive expectation for playing Mega Millions?
Last night I played 10 line of Lucky for LIfe which I posted on the prediction board which paid $24, a profit of $4. That was the first profit I've made in a long time playing the lottery even though I'm still showing a profit over the long run. I'm starting to believe the only way to have a positive EV on any lottery game is to play only those games with smaller jackpots with a better than average10% play out. When I play MegaMillions while I usually play all 15 megaballs I seldom managed to

Fractals and RNGs...
Hello, pumpi, the lottery must be growing patterns, using calculations based on how the Fibonacci numbers. That is starting from a fixed reference point or you can create patterns of growth just as in nature, this fixed point can give clues where the pattern will grow, in the case where the lottery industry, this is the problem! ie a carroco a seed has all the forest

Different people value a dollar differently. But I think that for most of us it's worth a buck just to have that c

Pyramid I use for all games 5 ball and up
Hi, thanks for a very interesting post, I understand how you arrived at the numbers but I dont understand what to do with them and how to make them work for you, I'm only just starting to learn about the different systems and would be really grateful if you could explain more about the 9/10 scale and the other tools you use on excell. My apologies for being slow, any help would great, btw I'm playing the UK lottery and I'm thinking this system would work well on a pick 3/4 game, is that correct?

Mandalas from images of lottery tickets
I'm going to make a thread showing how to make a mandala-type image in GIMP starting from a low-res image of a lottery ticket, such as this one which I got from Stat$talker's post https://www.lotterypost.com/thread/327102/6768218 I think this falls under math because...reasons.

Some starting from being picked rarely to a state of being more frequently, and some having been picked more frequently to declining to being picked more infrequently. I haven't done the tracking to verify a lotto number pick momentum, if you will, even though it's intriguing. I took a very rough look at

Interest In Backtesting and Simulating Lottery Systems
This system CAN show a profit year over year for 5 years That's very logical but only if the order of digits remained the same for 5 years and that's why I was being very liberal when I suggested 100 trials. Six hits in 100 drawings playing ten $1 box wagers I used beats chance and eleven hits would show a profit. This is a pencil and paper type system with lots of options so I chose one that could be tested. Since I used the combined midday and evening drawings digit frequency from the KY

Neural Net Lottery Picker
Not working out too well for me, my first try I only matched one number and the bonus ball on one ticket, with no matches on the rest. Had another go using all the results history (from when the lotto company last changed machines) with a =4 countmatch on Saturday and only got one model and prediction on the autoscan. No matching numbers. Starting to get skeptical about this, I think lottery numbers are just too true random for a pattern to ever reliably be found. Keno makes a bit more sense

MATH 5/39: Stack47, Garyo1954, RL-RANDOMLOGIC VS Jimmy4164
Please take note: I don't expect the settings in RL's program to be compatable with anything but a Base-10 counting system. It couldn't be any other way since all US lotteries use a base-10 numbering system and their numbers are the only ones that count when you play their games. My system also use digit counts to eliminate combinations but it only a part of the total elimination process. For example when I pick some lines for tonights' MegaMillion game, each combination will have 4-8 diff
