Hi, new member here, perusing the forums, and YES I also do the same. Right now there is a second chance here in Illinois for the Holiday instant tickets. One particular gas station near me always have several. They never say a thing when I dig through the cans. In fact they also have a can directly next to the vending machine INSIDE the gas station...always full of them Always thought that anything thrown in trash would presumed to be abandoned. I don't have a picture yet, but I got a 400$ winner off the new Illinois 30$ scratcher yesterday. What I was doing wa just scratching off the bar code at the bottom and scanning it. I am giving it to my daughter for her High School Graduation next week, so she can scratch off the rest of the ticket and see what she won. It was on a machine, I normally don't get them from machines since I can't see the number. It was ticket 00 and normally I wouldn't get that number ticket either.

That's an awesome win! Congratz! Does Illinois have a way for you to see how many prizes are remaining, and the percentage of tickets sold? I would target the older games with the larger number of top prizes remaining.

It says $20k a week for 20 years on the ticket. If so... That's $80k a month, 960k a year or 19.2m in 20 years. That would be an incredible prize to hit. Isn't there also an Illinois ticket wit a $15M jackpot? With jackpots that high, I imagine the odds at hitting $500 or $1000 must be lousy.

I assume most likely says never reached point in which ticket went into circulation In Illinois for instance the Merry Millionaire ticket ($20 ticket) still had at least one grand prize unclaimed when they pulled it from rotation so likely assume it never made its way into circulation given likely less then stellar ticket sales

I appreciate you caring, and I mean that. Today, I tried the new $5 game, won $20 and then spent another $120 but lost it all as I knew I would. This is a horrible and evil game, I am working longer hours now so I can pay my landlord in the next 2 weeks or he will kick me out. My parents live in Illinois and I really don't want to move back there (if they would let me move in). NC habit of ending games with top prizesReply
Most states will end games early when sales slow down significantly and the tickets aren't bringing in enough money to pay the larger prizes. Illinois quietly ended their $30 thousand a week for 30 years game, and I don't believe they awarded a single one of the top prizes. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, and please provide a link.

I just scratched five of the $20 Fabulous Fortune tickets today in Illinois. Got the one $100 in the book and a $20 on top of it. 3 of the 4 top prizes are still out there and about 45% of the tickets have been sold. So for me that makes it a good play. Sad that the last Merry Millionaire big winner has been snatched up. We bought a few books of that going after that! Today I will go over 100,000 views on youtube in the past couple months as it is amazing how much of a crowd out there enjoys wat

Just finished scratching another 100x The Cash Book in Illinois and putting the videos on youtube. Got back again the Expected Value of a book or $350. Spent $600. Nowadays the games are so top heavy that you need to hit the big one to get ahead. We will keep on scratchin! In a typical $20 book in Illinois with 30 tickets you are expected to get back 4- $20 2- $25 1 -$30 1- $40 1- $50 1 $100
