Budgeting When Buying InstantsReply
Thanks for all your help guys. To answer some of the questions, yes, I am beginning to think playing these instant games, especially in Illinois like Cooldude can attest to, is beginning to look like a losing proposition to me. I would budget $10 a week for instants, and yes, I would reinvest them in other tickets if I won. I just really want to control my spending on the instants especially since I have not been winning much in Illinois. I do play the daily Pick 3 and Pick 4 games,

It's funny how these stores start the rolls. The little convenience store I go starts them at 000, the 7 Eleven starts them at the end. I wonder if the Illinois Lottery requires them to start from the beginning or end of the roll or it doesn't matter?

Let me clarify, only the $10 games that have match numbers only like Illinois Black or Color of Money. The Jackpot bonus is entirely different.

You should buy it right away. In Illinois you can check the amount of prizes left under the instant games page on their website and that's what I go by. I try not to buy any games where most of the prizes have been depleted. You have to try and be a smart consumer. Since the instant game is not a skill game and game of chance going by that list is your best chance to win, especially if you are trying for the bigger jackpots...
