Arizona Lottery bans Fast Play bulk ticket purchases
Personally, I don't think anyone even buys bulk Fast Plays as it doesn't make sense mathematically. Fast Plays are like slot machines which are intended to give the house an 80%+ advantage. Jackpots on the other hand have fixed odds -- the more combinations you play the more you're likely to win. So gonna wait and see if the AZ Lottery gives any explanation for the reasoning behind the decision.

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
You spoke my mind, for MM to be won at the 300M mark, not sure about the bigger jackpots advertising - maybe it's too early. Onward we go.

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
Smaller jackpots being won, means more people are winning. I don't think the $112M and $348M winners said, It's not enough I don't want it.

Texas Lottery Commission abolished, oversight of Texas Lottery transferred
These laws should not apply to games like the Pick 3/4. They have nothing to do with the whole controversy of buying jackpots. Some of these Texas lawmakers own brick-and-mortar stores that sell lottery tickets, and now players can only buy tickets at these stores. This is BS.

LOTTERY POST 25TH ANNIVERSARY GIVEAWAY #2
I m assuming you are referring to one of games with the jackpots since they are much larger. So if I won the lottery my intentions would be to payoff all my debt. That s a definite for me. Then depending on the amount, I would make sure my immediate family gets a slice. As I get older my answer has changed because circumstances have changed and some of the people you wanted to share those moments with are no longer in your life. This would be an enormous life changing opportunity for me but the

Winner of $877,800 Idaho Cash jackpot is infamous bulk buyer
Idaho legislation moves along bill to ban bulk lottery ticket purchases By Kate Northrop The Idaho Lottery's initial suspicions that a bulk purchaser was at play during a jackpot run that resulted in an $877,800 Idaho Cash win were correct when it was confirmed that an entity known for executing jackpot buyouts came forward to claim the prize. In response to restless national sentiment surrounding the nature of jackpot buyouts and a recent $877,800 Idaho Cash win, Idaho state legisla

$1.7 BILLION: Will Powerball create a Christmas billionaire?
One thing I truly miss is bump up to the jackpot like in the good old days. Gone for good I'd say. Considering that they've done it 4 times in the last 4 months it hardly seems like it no longer happens. Changing to 3 drawings per week has a minor effect, but the real issue is that lottery sales per drawing are generally slower than they used to be. Even so, the current PB run is a rare exception (as of now) for not bumping some of the jackpots for runs that made it past the billion dollar

Florida's Fantasy 5
I think you're correct and I too think it backfired on them big time. To me the obvious question becomes (provided they want to make as money off the game as they used to) So why not return to one evening draw per day??? These days, if there is one winner in each drawing on any given day, both jackpots total to approximately $155,000 to $160,000. Prior to adding the midday draw, the lone evening drawing produced a $200,000 jackpot. (If just one winner) That can only mean one thing, and that

Powerball jackpot hits $1 billion after building for months
Is $50 to much to spend or u go by ur heart? It's not too much if you save the money from all the drawings offering less than $1 billion and spend it on the first drawing for $1 billion or more. What happens if it rolls, though? PB only reached $1 billion once this year up until now. The first time there were 4 drawings for $1 billion or more. So far this run has been slower to get the big increases, and based on the most recent worksheet there's a 56% chance it will roll 3 more times*, so
