Arizona Lottery bans Fast Play bulk ticket purchases
9 out of 36 Fast Games show a progressive jackpot. And for whatever reason, the jackpot estimate shows up now when I visited the arizonalottery.com website. Go figure. My main points were Anti-buyout rules make more sense for Pick6 and Fantasy5, where the player picks the numbers and so can guarantee a buyout of all possibilities. Currently, AZ has no such anti-buyout rules for Pick6 and Fantasy5. So, AZ is highly inconsistent with their anti-buyout rules. They should have rolled out an

New Jersey Lottery lowers odds of winning Fast Play Progressive jackpot
Rocks of ruck with that. Michigan started out at 300k to 1 and then went to 400...then 500 and now 600k to one and the game just drags and the jackpots are not that much bigger. I hope the New Jersey system is better. Good luck to everyone that plays it.

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
I can't imagine any way that MM can get ahead of PB other than PB being hit and resetting. Faster growing jackpots that's what MM told us I thought it would grow fast enough to erode PB 100M lead

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
Exactly! No one would be upset about winning millions of dollars whether its 1 million or 800 million. The point I'm making is they more than doubled the price saying it would be bigger faster jackpots and so far that just isn't the case at all. It's interesting since the odds haven't changed that much but they are selling half as many tickets.

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
I think the issue that SoCola is raising is not with the players that win, whether they feel the money is enough or now. I think the issue is that MM put forth a narrative of bigger jackpots in their advertising during the months before the change in price - well, maybe it's too early. We will wait and see.

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
The ratio depends on the return interest rate of government bonds. Jade is usually good at doing math calculations, but I've got no idea what insights those recent graphs are supposed to be offering. That run in the first graph that looks normal shows a range of a maximum of 7% more than the low annuity value of 211% of the cash. In the second one with the sudden drop has a range with a maximum of only 3.96% over the lowest annuity value of 219.8%. What both of them show are the perfect

The $29.95 Non-Believerz
Stats and the Mountain of Tickets Stats sat alone in a weathered old chair, With losing lotto slips piled high everywhere. No job to attend and no paycheck in sight, Yet he checked every drawing from morning till night. He had stacks in the kitchen, stacks under the bed, Stacks on the table where he rested his head. Each ticket a promise, each number a dream, Though the jackpots kept flowing downstream. Impossible odds? Stats would loudly proclaim. No, somebody'

US Powerball multi-state lottery game expanding to the UK
Man, I could write a book on this one. So I'll keep it brief... How do you expect the prize pool to grow faster when you're adding 20% more players ??? (Not really- see next item.) UK players will reject this based on the ticket cost and taxable (US portion) jackpots. This is just a test market to see if Powerball can sell a $5+ ticket ( 4= $5.44 US). Why in your own back yard when you can do it in someone else's? MegaMillions is paying the price of greed and Powerball is next.

New Hampshire Lottery launches $30 scratch-off ticket offering record $3 million top prize
Well put ..... For thirty dollars I can buy 10 to 15 powerball tickets for a cash value of 9 mil or six tickets of megamillions for a cash value of around 22 mil. Of course, it's a lot harder to win than the scratcher but that's another thing. Have a shaggy day! ShagE3 PS On another topic, tho lottery related .... What's with Ark and Del twice winning multistate mega lottery jackpots as of recent memory?

Impact of "Free Money" on Lottery Spending
During the Covid Era and the ensuing Stimulus Checks, there was arguments that the free money was driving lottery sales and the massive jackpots that we saw. Fast forward 2026 - with the One Big Beautiful Bill Act and the Tax incentives - no taxes on over time and tips etc, and with the Tax season almost coming to an end, are we likely to see increased spending on the lottery from the Tax Refunds ? It's the first time in 3 years that I have had a tax refund, I am always paying extra taxe
