Balancing Odds and Cost 😁
Powerball. I'm a two dolla balla. Sometimes $3 if I'm feeling spicy and adding double play. I wouldn't reward the increases in price with my $5 even if I had money to spend freely. It's also the principle of the thing, and choosing to pay for the one that didn't go up in price while not giving a sale to the one that did. Odds aren't good for any of them. I get a powerball once in a while as a dream and a what if. I can do that twice at $2/3 rather than once for $5.

The wins in RED could not be won during the Singles Only event... quite the DC Lottery Payout Savings, aye? Well, guess they needed to fund that promotion somehow. Mega Millions and Powerball Race
I totally agree, but the odds of winning anything are way better on the M4L side of the equation. 18M is definitely a life changing sum 140M would be awesome too

Help Me Understand This 😭
That could be true, but when the game was Lucky for Life and Cash 4 Life, we had at least frequent 2nd prize winners. Given the odds of the game, I will continue to give it a try, at least every Sunday and when I opt not to play MM, I can substitute that with MFL. It never hurts to try

Help Me Understand This 😭
Thank you for the encouragement on me not winning the jackpot I will spend my money at Chic -fil-A instead, , lol just kidding. I actually am not focused on the jackpots, any win is a good win, and a jackpot win is an even better win. Thank you for the perspective on the odds.

Probability of winning with multiple tickets
Using the pick 2 example, buying ten lines and each tine has a different digit in the first position, there is a 100% probability of matching the digit drawn in the first digit position. Every line has a 1 in 10 chance of matching even if each line uses the same digit in the second position. Every Powerball payout chart shows that 25 lines has odds of 1 in 11,688,054 and some will say as if 292,201,313 combos magically disappeared just can't comprehend why expressing 25 in 292,201,338 as 1 in 11

Probability of winning with multiple tickets
For a Pick 2 game, as long as the numbers are different, What if the 10 combos played are only using 7 digits in the first position? The math says `buying any 10 combos have the same 10% chance as any other 10 combos, but now only 70 of those possible 100 outcomes can be matched. It sure looks like those 10 combos have a zero chance of matching 30 possible outcomes. Can't say if the 100 or so lottery players I know are as concerned about probability as you and especially not for most p
