I just wanted to point this out... MSL is basically saying FU lottery players and they're not hiding it. Simple example, that back 2 back 664, umm yeah... let's see, what are the odds? GTFO, and midday 241 - 111 = 130 .... BINGO!!! 031 was the evening number... it's this kinda crap that made me quit 3 digit, but of course like a drug addict, I relapse from time 2 time. lol
Ahhhh hell, good night and good luck you beautiful creatures. :-)

Probability of winning with multiple tickets
For a Pick 2 game, as long as the numbers are different, 10 combos will have a 1/10 overall chance of winning (assuming the only prize is for hitting a straight). This is because the prize is for matching the numbers exactly.
For secondary prizes where you match only some of the numbers, the probability of winning depends on what numbers you pick. Let's say you are playing Pick 3 and buy 2 combos and bet on a combination straight/box bet, and you make your tickets have three different digits

Probability of winning with multiple tickets
Way too far back to remember accurately, recall one of the states that offered two Pick-6 plays for a dollar showed half the normal odds for the dollar played.

Impact of "Free Money" on Lottery Spending
I think it's worse than just gasoline. Higher diesel prices affect the cost of everything you buy.
Unlike food (for everyone) and housing (if you rent, and there's property taxes if you own), much of America's gasoline consumption is optional. Biking and public transportation (which I use) use none, and small cars use less than big cars. When I was a kid in the 80's, everyone drove small cars and no one whined about it.
Yesterday I bought four Millionaire for Life tickets. Rather than 4

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
I'll be getting fewer tickets going forward, because I definitely think that the best shot at winning something was in the first round. Before awareness spreads, and before the million dollar fever sets in.
I think that sales will increase as people come to find out about the raffle. Winning something meaningful enough (the prizes between 5k and 100k) won't be as easy . The million dollar draw odds aren't bad for a big sum, but it's still a shot in the dark. The tickets are pricey for still

Probability of winning with multiple tickets
If you hold two tickets for Pick 2, betting on 37 as well as 65, your odds of winning are 1 in 50. The calculation is 2 [number of distinct bets you have made] divided by 100 [number of possible outcomes]. 2 divided by 100 is 1/50. 2/100=1/50=0.02=2%
Don't know how else it could be explained better!
But it looks like some here just don't understand why a 2% chance of winning a game with 100 outcomes is a 1 in 50 chance. Hopefully explaining how buying 10 chances gives an actual 1 in 10

Probability of winning with multiple tickets
A lot of people (maybe even most?) don't even realize that odds aren't the ratio of the number of chances compared to the number of possible outcomes
Thank You !

Probability of winning with multiple tickets
Each ticket is a 1 in 300M chance to win. It doesn't matter whether two tickets were bought by one person or two different people. Each ticket is a 1 in 300M chance.
If you buy two tickets (different numbers) then you have a 1 in 150M chance of winning because you are holding TWO TICKETS. Each ticket alone is 300M but you have TWO of them. 300M divided by 2 is 150M.
If you buy a third ticket, your chances of winning improve to 100M. Not 75M (half of 150M), it's 100M because you have thre

Never did this before
I don't understand how you can fail at such simple math.
1) In what alternative universe do you live where 1,221,759 divided by 5 is 38,719?
2) If you wanted to bring your odds down to under a million you don't need to buy 11 lines. Just 2 would do it.

Mother's plans for the prize are fitting
By Kate Northrop
An Illinois mother is glad she used her children's birthdays for her lottery numbers, since they just won her an $800,000 Lucky Day Lotto jackpot in the Illinois Lottery.
With a check for her prize secured, one Illinois woman will put her winnings towards the very thing that inspired her $800,000 Lucky Day Lotto jackpot win: her children.
Something magical happened that day, the winner said in a press release. Everything c
