Mega Millions jackpot closes in on $1 billion
The real analysis is how fast the jackpot grows. My analysis was about the odds of winning which has absolutely nothing to do with the growth in the jackpot. That is the REAL analysis. Your point is valid. It just has nothing to do with what I wrote. Everyone here else is commenting on the higher $5.00 price and its behavior on their buying a ticket. That also is affecting Mega Millions buyers nationwide. Precisely my point.

Kentucky man goes into "full panic mode" after winning $250,000 in the lottery
I've noticed that most stories about big winners are from scratch-off tickets. Few big winner stories are from Powerball or Megamillions. Of course, I'm not surprised. I've done the math and concluded that scratch-off tickets are a better deal than PB/MM, but there are people on this forum convinced otherwise. They think that $846 million is somehow better than $250,000 or $1 million or whatever despite the ridiculous odds of winning $846 million. Would you rather have a realistic chance

Lottery Game Percentages
Here is your simple answer. Do not play Lotto 649. Based on the odds of the game, the cost of the tickets and your age, it is not your game. Instead, play Atlantic 49.

Dream
Just so you know, my sarcasm started when I complimented you for having 1 more hit than the odds of your 286 Combinations hitting. I don't have time right now to check on your latest (self admitted half ___ ) effort. I am curious if anyone else is tracking your spectacular recent results. I will be apologize for being sarcastic is said effort has improved.

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
Good point! I never looked at it that way. For $30, I could play $5 on 6 draws when MM is $700 million and grows to over $2 Billion. The problem I have is that it's just 1 ticket (1 Line) that I get for $5 each time. But for $30, I could play 1 PB ticket for 15 drawings. Also for Powerball, I could get 15 tickets on that drawing for that same $30.00 versus only 6 tickets for Mega Millions. Honestly, I wish the tickets were still just $1. Even despite inflation, the lotteries would still make

Five dollar MM
Good point. I mean I get it... I get both sides. The dollar is worth less because of inflation. But I also see where alot of people no longer have that extra disposable income to buy a ticket. And I just don't think it's a good time right now to raise prices. Again just my opinion. I honestly can't speak for the dollar scratcher thing. Tell you the truth. I have never bought any. I was always told the odds are horrendous with dollar tickets. So I stayed away. I dunno man. It's like nowadays you'

Five dollar MM
I think its the money. And then the astromical odds to win. These games originally where a dollar. The a dollar and a dream . Then they added a bonus for a dollar. Then raised the prices to two dollars a game. Now the one game is five bucks and you can not opt out of a bonus. For some five bucks is alot. I mean if you win. It would be absolutely fantastic. But the chances are slim to none for that happening. I kinda see it as a moving the goal post senero. Just the way i kinda see it. But I do k
