Texas woman steals winning $1 million lottery ticket from cousin
The reason he got into this mess is because he tried to circumvent the privacy rule/ and or tax liability. It even stated in the story that you can remain anonymous by claiming it under an LLC. Because you obviously cannot trust your relatives.

There doesn't seem to be a huge frenzy for the 1.1 Billion Megamillions prize. :/
Not everyone is greedy and $20 million is fine with me. The odds are the same with each drawing. It has nothing to do with logic. Let this anonymous guy have his own preferences.

$1.1 BILLION: Massive Mega Millions drawing set for Tuesday
Generally, no. I try to stick to anonymous states. Sometimes, I can't. If a state game is high enough I'll buy a ticket. Right now, I'm stuck in Indianapolis getting my truck serviced. So, to make sure I'm in the game, I had to walk to a gas station.

Your reaction to being the only winner of MM or PB?

Buddhist monk gives away entire $502,000 lottery jackpot
* I was thinking the same thing, these guys can't even have a girlfriend. I had heard that they do not fight as well unless death is on the line. One lottery ticket sold in California wins $2 billion Powerball jackpot
California is not an anonymous state so the winner will be public once claimed. And as for it being the same state that wins all the jackpots it is the same for Fantasy Five here. The jackpots are always won in the same zip codes.

IGT prevails in DOJ lawsuit; Wire Act only applies to sports betting
Back in the days, I used to play THE LOTTER all over the world with plastics. A push by a billionaire casino mogul, in a wheel chair, initials S.G.A. was instrumental in outlawing of most online gambling. The old fart was just flexing his greedy muscles. If they can fix it , I will only be playing lottery subs in anonymous states.

the Mega Millions jackpot winner from July. Who cares, its none of my business
Some states do not allow you to remain anonymous...like California. It's my understanding you must allow the lottery to take a picture of you holding the check and your name is available to the public.
