It is frightening. I do not envy Edwin Castro with all this much attention. I'm grateful my state allows anonymous claiming. California doesn't tax lottery jackpot winners. Unfortunately, it doesn't allow winners to remain anonymous. It's really unfortunate and hopefully it won't take a tragedy to change the rules in order to keep up with the times. In this day and age, a winner's privacy is just as important which many states fortunately now recognize.
