$1.5 billion Mega Millions winner explains how "Lottery Lawyer" Jason Kurland stole $83 million
This is exactly my point Anonymous or no Anonymous won't protect you from scams. Like I said you either free spending your money or someone else is free spending it for you. If you wish to be anonymous don't play Biglotto play small lotto pick3 lol :)

Lottery state chart/anonymity and claimants
WA State....Maybe anonymous. I think in Washington the winner can remain anonymous. The key word is the name may be released if there is a records request. Not will or must . So the lottery can choose not to reveal the people at the winners request and that would be lawful . There have been several winners who claimed using Trusts or LLC and remained anonymous.

New bill in Wisconsin could allow some lottery winners to remain anonymous
This is not helpful. At all. They should allow winners to remain anonymous indefinitely. Too many stories of winners' lives being ruined by greedy vultures around them. A lot of states allow anonymous collecting or via trust. Wisconsin should do the same and not this half baked idea of only a year of anonymity.

$1.35 billion Mega Millions lottery winner suing mother of his child for revealing win to family
I honestly don't even see the point of playing the lottery unless you buy tickets in a state that allows you to remain anonymous. I actually think it is foolish to tell people you won after you went through all the trouble to remain anonymous.

Lottery state chart/anonymity and claimants
Nope. Washington state is not an anonymous state. The records request is a separate issue. Please provide links where winners have remained anonymous using trusts. Thanks.

Canadian woman too shocked to tell mother about $60 million Lotto Max jackpot
Do Canadian lottery winners have to right to remain anonymous? In Australia, lottery winners have the right to remain anonymous and the vast majority do so. Whenever there is a large jackpot win, general details of the winner are released, but the identity of winner is very very seldom published.

$1.5 billion Mega Millions winner explains how "Lottery Lawyer" Jason Kurland stole $83 million
No, the state lottery would be violating state law and their reputation would be ruined if they released the name of an anonymous winner. And courts allow anonymous names in legal proceedings in certain situations and that is protected as well.

Iowa Lottery to shorten prize claim periods for multi-state games
As long as they then allow anonymous claims on those games also! I do not know of anyone who has all their legal ducks in a row for a big jackpot claim. I know if it were anonymous Multi State claims here I would not what 6 Minutes to go claim a prize let alone 6 months. I would contact a lawyer and an a tax guy on my way to Lansing if the Multi State Claims were anonymous here.
