Lottery games picking numbers by Computer
There's some sensitivity around this topic, because the states don't do enough to ensure randomness in their drawings. There is a big investigation on-going in Indiana, thanks to a couple of Lottery Post members.Your message appeared to be factual, so it was important to debunk it so that misinformed people would not be misled into thinking that computerized drawings are approprately random. I believe that certain states are going down a dangerous path in their attempt to save a few bucks by g

Maryland Lottery to switch to computerized drawings
Lottery to leave behind traditional ball drawings in favor of embracing the future By Kate Northrop The Maryland Lottery announced today that it has plans to switch its draw methods from traditional lottery ball drawing machines to digital computerized drawings. Next week, the Maryland Lottery will officially retire the ball drawing machines and switch over to a random number generator (RNG) to conduct its in-state games. Lottery balls and machines have been part of the Maryland

Engineer reported bad Tenn. Lottery computerized draws
Tennessee Lottery was slow to act, even after repeated warnings from many players; many call for the return of real lottery drawings The Tennessee Lottery appears to have been slow to investigate reports of a major flaw in its new computerized drawing system, even in the face of multiple warnings from players. Lee Lemonds and his wife watch The Wheel of Fortune every night and because the lottery drawing comes on the same television station, they usually see it as well. It didn't take

lottery being taken over by computerized draws
I've said this before and I'll say it again polls like this do more for them than you can possible fathom. They read some of these posts and they don't even have to conduct polls in their states because we do enough of them here on lottery post about computerized drawings. Polls of this nature can be one of their selling points. Unless they see enough information to forget about going computerized then and only then will we get back to ball drawings. Plan and simple hard core lottery pla

Computerized Drawings
Computers do in fact have memory chips, but somehow making the leap to say that all computerized drawings remember the past draws and adjust future numbers because of it does not make sense, and I believe it is completely false. I am against computerized drawings as much as anyone, but I also am not going to tell people that every computerized drawing has some kind of memory of past drawings. That goes against everything I have learned in my research. I do think computerized drawings are p

Bahamas 'web shop' accused of failing to pay winners
Iowa's switch to using the Indiana Lottery drawing results was a big plus for lottery players because it eliminated the computerized drawings Iowa was conducting for the past three years for Pick 3 and Pick 4. Iowa is now back to a Grade A in the State Lottery Report Card, with Hot Lotto being the only game offered in the state with computerized drawings. Congratulations Iowa! Indiana converted its Daily 3 and Daily 4 games back to real lottery ball drawings a few years ago, and now with I

Arizona Lottery pulls second computerized drawing machine over duplicate numbers
Absolutely -- direct but respectful feedback is always best. Real-world examples of not playing computerized games, or how you in some way purchase fewer tickets as a result of the loss in confidence in the drawings makes an important point to the lotteries using computerized drawings. State lotteries are basically marketing companies, so if it finally gets through to them that computerized drawings turn away sales they might do something about it. One state -- Indiana -- in fact went bac

Lottery rigger warned officials about computerized drawing machines years ago
Computerized drawings can easily be manipulated. In the article it was stated by Northrup, I don't know the answer why they are so dedicated to computerized drawings. It might just be because they are easier. This is not why there is so much dedication to computerized drawings. The focus seems to have always been on the cheater who uses these compromised numbers to select winning numbers. Shouldn't the focus be on the actual lottery commissions that use computerized drawings? After all, the lott

would MUSL eventually computerize powerball like they did hot lotto?
MUSL's director has made positive statements about computerized drawings in the past. I think he would like to switch to computerized drawings, but I'm not sure if he will get his wish. Changing Powerball to computerized drawings would be devastating, not just for the game, but for the industry. Powerball is a standard-bearer for lottery games, and if Powerball switched, many states would surely convert. It would also create a situation where real drawings would not be available for any

what computerized state is easiest
I disagree with this statement, from the perspective that giving in to computerized drawings is the wrong approach. Computerized drawings are bad for lotteries in general, and true fans of the games should continue to fight their implementation. You can bet that the lotteries will be (and HAVE BEEN) hesitant to switch over to computerized drawings, when people are so vocally adamant against them. I can't wait for the day when a state lottery announces that they will be reverting from comp
