I dispute it because I went to a better school and/or was more able to understand what was taught. You'd be right if we were talking about the chances of a jackpot being claimed by an individual vs the chances of being claimed by a group. I'm counting the couples and families (and the 2 unknowns) as individuals, even though multiple family members may have bought tickets, so the 2010 results show that 9 of the 12 jackpots were claimed by individuals. You do know that the discussion is about jackpots being won by individuals versus jackpots won by groups , right? The jackpot was only won 12 times, but there were more than 12 winners. The point that I have made several times is that people misunderstand what bearer instrument means. Some financial instruments are registered to their owner, and some aren't, and whether or not it's registered doesn't change the laws about ownership of property.
