cash vs. annuity
Beating the incredible, insane odds and actually being in a real-life position to choose between cash and annuity is the main thing. Whether I took the $10 million annuity or the $6 million cash would be incidental - life would be very different with a lot more options afterwards either way. I don't think I would second guess my choice whatever it was as I was vacationing in Hawaii or beginning my non-work day with a walk to the coffee shop.

OK's multi-state game
No. Alaska is very sparsely populated, and starting up a lottery would be a logistic nightmare. As for Hawaii, a lot of their citizens are against it, depite being a strong blue state. Go figure

if you won a jackpot, would you still play
Maybe I would continue to play, but I wouldn't cash in another ticket. If I won, I would give the ticket away. But they have no lottery in Hawaii, so I probably will be thinking about other things by then.

next state to get a lottery
it probably won't.i could see alaska and hawaii starting lotteries in the near future, except i could see the MUSL and the big game group allowing those states to carry both powerball and mega millions, since there are pretty much no border states.

The National Lottery Subscription Service
I played the Massachusetts lottery when I lived in Florida. I buy Massachusetts lottery subscriptions for relatives and friends in Hawaii, where they don't have a state lottery. A Massachusetts address is NOT REQUIRED. See the link below. Most season tickets can be purchased from out of state, by calling l-800-222-TKTS.http://www.masslottery.com/QNA.htm#Q10

If you win big, will you still play?
I'd probably quit playing and spend the time I now spend looking at numbers enjoying myself. Because I finally could just chuck it and enjoy!!! I think I'd retire to Hawaii.

Spam news for CASH Only
Re: My comment on the fact that Hawaiians love Spam, the Spam web page is promoting a Waikiki Spam Jam. In the text they call Hawaii the Spam capital of the world. The funny thing is that I hadn't visited the site in a while.
