How much revenue have the non-lottery states lost?
How much revenue have the six states, Alabama, Alaska, Hawaii, Mississippi, Nevada and Utah, that don't have lotteries lost? I have seen many news stories about people crossing state lines to participate in the Powerball Lottery. Is there any data on, how much revenue these states loose to neighboring states?

Confused Signing Your Name on Powerball Ticket Yet You Can Be Anonymous By Forming a Trust?
Regardless if you form a trust or not, under Calif law, your name and hometown will be public record. You do not have to give them a photo or interview or any other info. I read where one couple in SoCal had their atty drive them to NorCal where they claimed the prize at some small city and then drive them to the airport where they flew to Hawaii for a month or more. Not sure if you have to pick up the check or not in person. But if you do, you hire body guards.

Are you ready for the attention?
No, the attention of any record breaking win is not something I want. I think I will stop playing my 2x week MM if/when it gets to record breaking territory. All I want is enough for an early and comfortable retirement. OK, maybe a bit more for a vacation condo in Hawaii. And......

Lottery Wins From Out of State
You forgot Hawaii, they don't also have a lottery yet. The Massachusetts Lottery is especially handy for them as they can't drive to another state. So, if you know folks in the vacation state, let them know!

Six States Losing Millions In Revenue
Six states, Alabama, Alaska, Hawaii, Mississippi, Nevada and Utah, are losing millions in state revenue as they don't have state-run lotteries. Millions of dollars are crossing state lines to states with lotteries. US lottery revenue in 2014 was $70bn. Powerball alone accounted for $4.81bn. For comparison's sake, the combined 2014 gross revenue for professional football, baseball and basketball was only $23.6bn.

New Mega Million math 75 + 15 = 6
I seriously do not think this will ever happen and here is why: Hawaii - time difference would mean the usual evening rush to purchase tickets would never happen. Plus when people visit Hawaii, the last thing most visitors would do is purchase a lottery ticket. Alaska - there exist other options to potentially get rich in Alaska, namely gold prospecting and crabbing. Also, certain Alaskans already receive a stipend from the government. Nevada - casino moguls will continue to lobby again
