Hoosier Lotto
It's unusual for a game having a cash value greater than the odds of winning it to go without a winner so long. Use to be system players and groups from around the world would look for such game to play. Until the win of a Virgina lottery by such a group some years ago, most states weren't aware they existed. After that many states came up with rules to make sure that never happened again. It must be working in Indiana. I can't image that there aren't a lot of players from out of state

Hoosier Lotto
The drawings aren't meant to be consecutive, they show the minimum previous drawings that involved all six numbers of the last drawings. The numbers are fine but I use the green numbers at the bottom that have the number of the draw that had the numbers and the counts of the hits at the time to formulate combinations to play in future drawings. When I've looked at the last 50 or so drawings of WVa Cash25 and Ohio Classic Lotto I've seen clusters of events happening at particular times

Indiana Lottery (Hoosier Lotto)
Have you guys seen that jackpot for the game? It is at $42 million!! The odds of winning are less than 1 in 13 million. Even with the cash option being about $20 million this is a game to get onto now. There is very few times in the lottery world that the jackpot is larger then the odds of winning especially in the cash option sense. I wish I had $12 million to pluck down and buy myself a win...haha Brad

Powerball won in Oregon.
For various reasons our memories can be very selective. Oregon had the PB record for about a year, and the big jackpots are easier to remember since there aren't as many of them. Pennsylvania has a population of about 12.5 million. The only other PB states with even half as many people are Indiana and North Carolina, and the latter has only been a PB state for a short time. If Pennsylvania didn't have a lot of winners it would be unusual (assuming that Pennsylvanians play at the same rate as pe

Anonymous winner in Indiana!
@duckman: This is the first time I've ever seen a Lotto prize claimed as a trust in Indiana. Indiana state law specifically says the name and county of residence of the winner must be published. By winner it has always been my understanding that they meant an actual person and not an entity such as a trust or LLC. Don't get me wrong...I think this is a good thing. I absolutely support winners having the right to privacy. Jim

NY Lotto: 25 years of ripping off winners
Tables are based on total possibilities of the draw, not on actual ticket sales. In a 6/48 game there are 12,271,512 different 6-number combinations possible. If one of each possible ticket is sold, one ticket will hit the jackpot, which pays $500,000, representing 4.07% of the amount bet. There will be 252 tickets hitting 5 of 6, each paying $957 (on average - these are pari-mutuel payouts, but the numbers come as averages from the Indiana Lottery Commission) giving a total payout of $241,164,

SHOCKER!! Powerball jackpot win by states
I believe that is because Indiana is the most populous original member state of Powerball. When most of the states had to choose one game or the other, the populous ones almost always stuck with their own games or picked Mega Millions. Until 2005, nine of the top thirteen most populous states offered Mega Millions. Thus, at the time, they were excluded from Powerball. Those were Texas, New York, Illinois, Ohio, Georgia, Michigan, New Jersey, Virginia, and Washington State. Only one (Pennsylvania

Cash 4 Life is a multi-state game played daily in nine states all of which are located in eastern United States. It's flagship state is New Jersey as that's where the daily drawings are held. New York, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Virginia, Tennesee, Maryland and Georgia are the other states where the game is played.
