In Indiana why be playing powerball?
This occured to me. Why would you be playing Powerball in Indiana right now when you have a game like Hoosier Lotto (yes even though I know the other payouts are crappy). The expected valued of a $1 is actually more than $1. When this happens you should play that game. I mean this upcoming drawing the jackpots are almost identical but one has a higher cash option and not only that has such better odds of winning the jackpot. If I was playing $5 and $5 on each before my whole $10 now would be

Mega...this is getting old
A lot of players from Ohio have won a PB jackpot in Indiana, in fact two of the largest PB jackpots ever won in Indiana were by a player from Dayton and a group of factory workers from Columbus. When Ohio start selling PB tickets next month, that won't be happening again same as when Ohio joined MM in '02 cut down on Michigan BigGame winners.

Mega...this is getting old
The PB has its oddities too when it comes to counts on which states have won (since 1992). Indiana is the place to be (apparently). And you can't say they've won the most because they've been in it since the beginning as other states who have as well only have as little as a few wins compared to over 30. Indiana seems to fall close to the middle of the population across the U.S. (2006) as well, so I've been at a total loss... but I'd sure like to know why.

Cash in MegaMillions ticket in another state?
Now that Indiana has MegaMillions, can I bring in a ticket ($2 winner) that was purchased in Illinois to an Indiana retailer to claim the two bucks? Or do I have to take it back to the Land of Lincoln? Thanks.

PB winner in Indiana
The store that sold the winning ticket is right next to the Indiana/Ohio border. Because Ohio doesn't have the PB game, it could have been an Ohio resident who drove over to play the game in Indiana.

Question about Quick Pick
If you buy 10 PB tickets, your odds of winning something according the information on the back of an Indiana play slip are 1:7 and your odds of matching 3+0 are 1:29 or about once every 3½ months. The most I've bought PB tickets is 4 times per year since I have to travel to Indiana for them but I buy MM tickets most every week since they're sold here in Ohio.
