Use to be Indiana stores along the Ohio boarders did that too anticipating a rush when PB jackpot was $120M+ but lately when I've bought PB tickets in Indiana there aren't any lines. Either Ohioans stopped buying PB tickets in favor of the local MM game or started traveling farther inland to buy their tickets.

The closet point in W.Va is 5-6 hrs from me, the closet point in Indiana is 2 hrs from me. The only reason I would go out of town to buy a lottery ticket is a big jackpot, besides I don't like having those coal trucks tailgating me ever time I go to W.Va. to visit. The trip to Indiana is on a level straight 4 lanes road and the roads down in S.E Ohio, Kentucky and W.Va are 2 lanes and have a lot of curves.RJOh

That means people like me that traveled to Indiana in December to buy tickets and didn't win enough to make a trip back to cash in their winning tickets worth while may make another trip to buy tickets while there is still time to cash in those tickets. If no one wins Wednesday, I'll be making a road trip to cash in my three tickets and buy some more and if someone does then Indiana can keep my unclaimed prize.RJOh

Tonight,I'm going make up a list that includes all 53 regular balls and all 42 powerballs and if weather permits tomorrow or Wednesday, I going to drive over to Indiana, cash in my tickets from October and with that money and some change, play that list. Not everybody that plays in Indiana is from Indiana, that's where I buy my tickets and it will be time to make a road trip if nobody wins tonight. I have some tickets from October to cash in.

Asereth: Hot Lotto is a multi-state game (run by MUSL, the Powerball people). The DC Lottery is expected to join Hot Lotto this summer, so it's not going away anytime soon. If you live near Indiana or Wisconsin, you might want to ask that lottery about carrying it (Indiana retired a game in January without replacing it).

The second winner of Powerball for 9/14 has not yet come forward to claim the prize. Is it possible that the winner does not know he won? What happens if no one claims?
