I wonder if The Florida Lottery is seeing and thinking the same thing I am??? The dollar amounts of the evening jackpots being won are slowly trending downward. They were averaging $141,000 but lately they're all in the $130,000 range.... There can be only one reason for that - a lack of player interest in the game. Not a bad idea/suggestion at all. Last night we saw one winner for $151,800, and a week ago last night we had the biggest evening jackpot since the two drawings a day format began of $159,400. Gone forever are the days of $200,000+ jackpots. Just like you, I'm not playing FF5 very much these days. So if the Florida Lottery's plan by introducing a second drawing per day was to entice more players to buy more tickets, why aren't jackpots for the evening drawing higher than they are? Remember too that there is a win $25 instantly promotion happening. They're offering an incentive to players to get them to buy more tickets but still cant get more FF5 ticket sales! Agreed that there will be plenty of midday drawings and also evening draws that there wont be a jackpot winner. That's what happened in New York's 5/39 game, Take5, when The New York Lottery went to two Take5 draws per day. I keep posting about what happened in New York with Take5 like there is some kind of direct correlation between Take5 and FF5, but there really isnt one. Take5 is a 5/39 game with 575,757 to 1 odds to win lousy jackpots. FF5 is a 5/36 game with great odds (376,992 to 1) to win a darn good jackpot.
