Someone hit mega - needs a fix
How can people who want jackpots in the $300 million range complain about small jackpots when they themselves play for the smaller jackpots? They're contributing to the very problem that they're complaining about. Maybe they should wait until the jackpots get big enough for them before they start contributing to the likelihood of the jackpots being hit.Of course, they should also realize that there will only be a handfull of jackpot winners each year if they regularly grow to that super size. Jackpots 15 and 20 millions in Mega Millions mostly roll
Unless I've over looked something, I noticed that jackpots at 15 or 20 million in Mega Million seldom win. It mostly hits when jackpots are huge. I play at all ranges. Does most people play only when jackpots are big?

Powerball reaching record jackpots due to the odds just got harder?
I'm fairly certain we will see $1B jackpots more often now that the odds are 1 in 292 million and the price being $2. Basically the $500-600M jackpots are the new $200-300M jackpots and the $1B+ jackpots are the new $300-400M jackpots. lol

The next jackpot winner/ winners should be from which State in your humble opinion?
I assume you are talking about MM and PB jackpots but don't forget most states of a decent size have their own games with jackpots that many times exceed the starting jackpots of the multi-state games so why shouldn't someone in those states win their jackpots? Besides states don't win MM and PB jackpots, it's the players with the correct combinations regardless of where they live.

It's Time for BIG JUMBO
Maybe if you were one of those players who bought a ticket when the jackpots were low, you might be one of those winners who won when the jackpots were low. It's those players who make the large jackpots possible. Make it almost impossible to win when the jackpots reset to $12M and $15M and the games will die. Twenty years ago Ohio had the best lottery game in the area when some locals got upset about out of state players winning Ohio jackpots of $40 to $60M. Ohio came up with a rule that lim

Small Jackpots vs Big Jackpots
Which is the best time to play the lottery for you and why? Are the odds greater for you if the jackpot is higher or lower? Do you prefer playing for smaller jackpots to avoid publicity? Do you only play when the jackpot is huge? How often do you play your preffer jackpot and how many tickets would you buy? Share your thoughts here.

$300,000,000 Jackpots
I cant speak for many, but although Im happy for the family that recently won the $212,000,000 in NJ, I go through a cold turkey withdrawal after the jackpots are hit. Im afraid with more states able to carry both jackpot games, we will see less and less of the $300,000,000 jackpots. Trust me, Im glad to participate in marylad in both, and not have to drive into d.c. for the Powerball, but I think the inclusionness of the states for both will water down the jackpots ulimately.

Powerball lottery sales, starting this morning, going smoothly
When all those jackpots were won last year, they were barely out of the guaranteed range. Powerball was lucky the jackpots were hit every third drawing instead of every other drawing or every drawing. While Powerball's guaranteed cash jackpots are $7.3 million, in reality, they sell only enough to fund a $4.3 million cash jackpot at that level, assuming 30.28855% of sales goes toward the jackpot. They only guarantee minimum jackpots and minimum rollovers because they don't expect those jackpot

Powerball/Mega Milions Jackpots
$10 million may be a lot, but for the odds, as well as the fact that the number of states joining those games is resultin in jackpots getting hit more often, which leads to low jackpots compared to a few years ago. Should Powerball and/or Mega Millions raise their starting jackpots to $20 million?
