Driveabizness....here is what I think happens in California, do you agree? Self Check: these devices display something like: Congratulations, Winner See Retailer. They do not, if I recall correctly, give an amount, just that you have a winning ticket. I think this is what you meant about inquiring without validating. Retailer Check: the retailer runs the ticket through the standard lottery machine. There is, or should be, a window where the customer can see what the machine displays

Then two minutes later, the tape would show this other guy going through the trash and retrieving the tickets.I know that tickets are a bearer instrument and in my opinion the 82-year-old man should get to keep ALL of the $1 million. But, the way court systems are these days and who knows what kind of jury can be selected

Oregon Lottery Director Dale Penn, seeking to capture millions of additional dollars for schools and other state programs, on Tuesday proposed a nearly 50 percent rate cut for retailers offering the lottery's new electronic slot machines. The rate cut, the biggest proposed by a lottery director since the state first ventured into electronic gambling 13 years ago, was cheered by school advocates who complain that bars, taverns and restaurants have been making excess profits off the lottery. But the
