What you know or may not know is the lottery will give practically anybody a machine so they can sell tickets for them. Then the retailer buys scratch off tickets to sell for them. When the retailers pays on a scratch off ticket the retailer has to go through all kinds of crap to get their funds from the lottery. the lottery wants to credit the retailer for any winning tickets that the retailer pays out for. And in GA news, I am playing my favorite scratch-off of late, Holiday Gifts. I will say it again in case I haven't already: the overall odds are 1:3.99, with 3 of 5 $250,000 top prizes still out there. Yesterday I won, $20, and today, $40 on that ticket. Usually it is either $15 or $20 when you win, but it has been as low as $10.
