Winning Scratcher Ticket Scans Incorrectly
Typically you can mail it to the State Lotto Office (call first) and they will validate it and send you a check. You'll have to send a winner's claim form. Make sure the retailer who sold you the ticket activated the book. I've bought the first or second ticket in a book and won. When I tried to cash it in, the book was not activated yet and I couldnt cash the ticket until the retailer realized they forgot to activate the book (which seems to happen often). Good luck.

From the article it sounds like that retailer was already under investigation so I don't think it was a random inspection.

I had pretty good luck with CA Black. Now I can't find a retailer that sell them anymore.

People can feel free to choose to believe what they want to. I am not convinced at all. The media and press continually monitor the lottery since it is public information and if they notice a repeat winner, it will receive much attention. There have been multiple two-time million dollar scratch off winners in the US. A three-time winner (let alone the same game) will be historical, this has received no attention online. These days the lottery verifies the integrity of all top prize winners.

$30 ticket here in IL. no longer being sold but lots of prizes left
talked to a lottery rep in the store today regarding when the pull a game. she said they pull a game when too many large prizes are claimed early. i said ok i understand that but how come they stop selling games that no large winners have been claimed and she said that was a problem and that's why one of the reasons the lottery contractor was recently fired. she also mentioned that the retailer can choose to order certain games and if they are ordered before the game is no longer be distributed

$30 ticket here in IL. no longer being sold but lots of prizes left
I know the ticket is no longer being distributed but places that have it in stock are still selling the ticket, I saw it in the machine at a retailer that doesn't get much action. From what I was told by another local retailer is that they are suppose to pull the ticket and send back to the lottery. I don't know why this hasn't happened at this other place. Wonder if there are any large winners out and about and if it's worth playing if i can find the ticket around town? My gut says No, stay awa

It is a distinct honor to even be a retailer of the year regardless when it happened. People will flock over to lucky retailers such as Bluebird Liquor (since this year, they lowered the requirements) and play there. The profit margin must be decent. Thanks for all the heads up from what you see from the retailer side. For scratchers since the 2nd Chance or Replay system came out, I've always entered a ticket code on the system to verify every ticket. Although it is already smart to enter all
