Delaware legalizes sports betting
Table games are next; Maryland lawmakers worried
Standing in front a screen displaying lines for the NFL, NBA and MLB, Gov. Jack Markell Thursday signed a sports betting bill into law at a ceremony inside the VIP room at Delaware Park racetrack and casino.

First sports betting licenses issued by West Virginia Lottery
Legalization of sports betting in West Virginia has reached another milestone, with the issuing of the first sports betting licenses by the state Lottery Commission.
That includes the first casino operator's license, issued to Hollywood Casino, in Charles Town.
They are the first casino licensed to offer sports betting, Danielle Boyd, legal counsel for the Lottery Commission, said Monday. They are committed to going live at Charles Town and accepting bets on Sept. 1.

Kentucky becomes 38th state to legalize sports betting

A bill supporting legalized sports betting in Kentucky has passed and is estimated to generate an additional $23 million in revenue for the state per year.
As of Friday, sports betting is set to have an official spot among legal gaming avenues in the state of Kentucky.
The new law is expected to add to the state's economic momentum, boost tourism, and keep more gambling revenue in Kentucky.

WV Lottery Commission establishes rules for sports betting
The West Virginia Lottery Commission has set its rules for sports betting in the state, following an emergency meeting Thursday.

Lottery giant IGT is sole bidder to run sports betting in R.I.
IGT, the company that runs Rhode Island's electronic lottery systems, is the sole bidder for a contract to run the state's proposed foray into sports betting.

In the news here is the possibility of Delaware reopening its sports betting. The 3 casinos are proposing that the betting be made excluse to the casinos only. I have also observed how Canada's Atlantic Lottery handles it through it's Pro-Line system.
