Who is Sam Bankman-Fried and Why Are The Fed's After Him?
Good points Stats... Could be SBF is trying to get a head start on influencing a jury. You're correct SBF has not been charged with any crime....not yet anyway. That said, The Fed's are looking at the whole mess, and my guess is they are proceeding slowly so as to be in a position to present a solid case to a US Attorney that the prosecutor believes there is enough evidence to present the case to a Federal Grand Jury for an indictment, and ultimately gain a conviction in a courtroom in

Can lottery organizations control the location of jackpot winning tickets?
Response to good info from mrcraft in JWBlue's double-post in other thread: https://www.lotterypost.com/thread/250725/3401688 ... there are many layers of checks and balances to ensure integrity of its scratchers, and in order to perpetuate fraud (e.g., sending your friends to buy entire rolls of tickets at specific retailers to win top prizes) you need at least 6 people from the gaming company and lottery office participating in the conspiracy to pull it off. And yeah, that famous inci

Thief grabs N.C. lottery tickets from store display

As soon as we are notified (of a theft), we deactivate those numbers, and the tickets cannot be redeemed, said Pam Walker, communications director for the N.C. Education Lottery. Each ticket has an identification number, and lottery officials keep computerized records of which tickets are allotted for each vendor in the state, Walker said.
