$83M Mega Millions jackpot claimed in Georgia
its actually feasible for the Mega Million to change rules Of course it is. They came up with an initial set of rules and they've been changed several times, but those rules are mostly about the nature of the game itself and leave other things to the individual states. There's little reason that any state should care about how another state administers things, but they certainly wouldn't want other states to control how they do things. I think that makes the chances of a rule change about a

Mega Millions multi-state lottery to get harder to win in Oct.
I've been cruising the site for a while and finally decided to join the conversation. This last week was great not just because the pot was big but BECAUSE only one person won. This decision to up the odds is something i have been thinking about for years and totally agree with. The only queston is what took them so long? This lottery is a fantasy for players. We daydream about winning it all by ourselves, winning the largest jackpot, and appearing at the press conference. Thats why the jackpot

Six $1M Powerball tickets claimed by one Arizona winner
hmm... didnt realize AZ allow anonymous collections. 6 tickets... 2$ per ticket = 12$... if they had purchased 4 tickets w/ PP it still would have cost 12$ but they would have had 8M$ instead of 6M$. Nice catch! Didn't know that any state allow secondary prizes to be cashed anonymously and if he had a plan to collect multiple times, it wasn't thought out very well. Now that PB is a $2 ticket, using Powerplay doesn't double the price and all the secondary prizes are at the least doubled.

Lottery bill could limit winner's take
One too many times, I saw people standing in line who appeared to be poor and they were buying tons of lottery tickets. I don't know how appearing to be poor proves the players are on welfare because I stopped on my way home from working in a factory many days and I certainly wasn't dressed in my Sunday best. Anybody would have thought I was very poor especially when I got into the beater car I drove to work. This bill won't prevent anyone from buying tickets or collecting over $600 when

Wiley Tuley is a lucky, lucky man. The retired electronics technician from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, won $200,000 in Thursday's evening drawing of the Iowa Lottery's Pick 4 game. Tuley actually won the game multiple times in the single drawing, which was why his prize was so large. He bought 14 tickets, with three plays per ticket. He played different combinations of the same four numbers 1, 9, 4, 3, his birth year for each of the plays. Those four numbers were all winners, which means he won a

Pool of McDonald's workers claims Mega Millions fraud
I always find it odd that educators for schools win alot. Or cooks who work at schools win, or people who work in the school system win alot. Yet I also find it odd that Dominique Gourdet, the live in boyfriend claims in an affidavit filed in the case that when the lottery numbers were picked March 30, he being Wilson's live-in boyfriend would not have said anything at the time. Gourdet the live in boyfriend says Wilson told him multiple times that a ticket she'd purchased for the McDonald's

$1.9 BILLION POWERBALL JACKPOT SETS WORLD RECORD OF UNIMAGINABLE WEALTH
Did you mean PB instead of MM in your first paragraph? That or I had a stroke instead of a minor brain cramp. Why THRIFTY why?? If it gets hit and I'm not the winner I'd at least enjoy seeing the pandemonium, and finding out how many people actually play 1,2,3,4,5,+6. 279,269,971 tickets were sold for 11/05 drawing and with a 95% chance, someone should have won. Did you forget about duplicates? Sales were actually about 269 million tickets. That uses 60.17% of the combinat
