Man plays same number on 20 lottery tickets, wins $90K
A North Carolina man has a knack for picking the winning number for Virginia Lottery drawings. The Virginia Lottery said Wednesday that Steve Granger of Henderson, N.C., won $90,800 in Sunday night's Pick 4 drawing by playing the same number combination, 5-1-1-7, on 20 tickets. Sixteen tickets each won $5,000 because Granger wagered exact order on them. The other four tickets each won $2,700 because he wagered 50/50 on them. N.C. Pick 4 lottery game starts next week
A new four-digit daily numbers game for the North Carolina Education Lottery will begin next week. Top prize for the Carolina Pick 4 game starting April 17 will be $5,000. Players can either choose a number or have a sales terminal pick a random number. The lottery already has the Carolina Pick 3 and Carolina Cash 5 games. Triples drawn again in Maryland Lottery
Triples are on a roll in Maryland. Sunday night's winning Pick 3 numbers were 5-5-5, making it the second triple drawn in just one week. That brings the total number of triples drawn since the beginning of the current fiscal year to eight. The Pennsylvania Lottery's latest game is the 5-digit numbers game, Quinto, offering 13 ways to play and win up to $50,000 cash. Drawings will be held both at midday and evening, seven days a week. Pick 3 numbers in Kansas Lottery misreported
The Kansas Lottery says it misreported Pick 3 numbers for three dates because of a software glitch. But it says it will pay players who picked the misreported numbers, as well as those with the correct winning numbers.
