Mississippi Lottery passes $2 billion in gross sales
Since the first tickets were sold in November 2019, the Mississippi Lottery has passed $2 billion in gross sales.

Lottery releases its third daily numbers game

Yesterday, the Louisiana Lottery launched Pick 5, the third game in its family of daily numbers games that also includes Pick 3 and Pick 4.

One gas station in Baton Rouge might find more players frequenting its store for a dab of luck since it sold two winning lottery tickets within one week.
The RaceTrac convenience store on South Sherwood Forest Boulevard received a lot of attention this week after selling two winning tickets for a Pick 4 prize worth $5,000 and a Powerball prize valued at $150,000.

Wisconsin Lottery starts midday drawings
Later evening draw times for Pick 3, Pick 4

Wisconsin Lottery fans now have more opportunities to win big, with three of its games now drawing twice per day.
The state's Pick 3, Pick 4, and All or Nothing games will all receive new midday drawings, in addition to their current evening drawings. This brings Wisconsin games in line with most other state lotteries that already offer multiple daily drawings of popular games.

Louisiana Lottery making changes to Lotto game in August
Multi-draw ticket purchases to be limited in run-up to first drawing of new format

For just the fourth time in the Louisiana Lottery's 28-year history, the state's flagship Lotto game is being changed in August.

Mississippi lottery revenue dips in March amid pandemic
State revenue from the Mississippi Lottery decreased in March as people began facing restrictions because of the coronavirus pandemic.
The Mississippi Lottery Corporation said it deposited $9.9 million into the state treasury the net proceeds from lottery games played during March.
Mississippi has collected more than $37.5 million from the lottery since it started operating in November.

Coronavirus has brought casino industry 'to a near standstill'
The Covid-19 coronavirus has effectively quarantined the nation's gaming industry.
More than three dozen states with commercial casinos or Indian gaming facilities have taken actions to suspend casino operations, enacted limitations that led to a shutdown, or have seen gaming companies and tribal leaders independently close their properties.

Nearly $9 million of Mississippi Lottery tickets sold in first 6 days
The Mississippi Lottery sold nearly $9 million in tickets during its first six days of operation.
About $3.8 million of the money was awarded in prizes, and nearly $2 million of it will go into the state budget to help pay for roads and bridges.
The Mississippi Lottery Corporation started selling tickets Nov. 25, and it announced the initial sales figures in a news release Wednesday.

Mississippi residents line up to purchase lottery tickets in state for first time
Scores of Mississippi residents made their way to convenience stores as early as 5 a.m. Monday as the state's first lottery tickets went on sale in over 1,000 locations.
