Ok did some calculations and you guys are righ ah choke choke righ righ stuttering right. i apolog    apologi ---- apologies.

ok i see your point i'm posting 1050 picks for all states as opposed to 5440 picks per day and no way could i improve my standings by posting 50 picks unless i trapped half of or more than half the states numbers every other day.  Or something like that. Please accept my apology for doubting you all. i humbly bow out.

However next fall i might try and see if i can do better or at least tryand do better with 50 picks for a one month period. right now i do not have the time to take on the challenge to many summertime activities to indulge in this challenge

four4me,  I accept your apology (although none was necessary).  You might want to consider upgrading when you have the time to do some serious work on Pick 3 or Pick 4.  The ability to post more than 10 predictions is certainly one advantage, but the ability to use the Deflate 3/4 and Inspector 3/4 is well worth the money to me.  I am often using 3 web pages at once.  One is looking at the results using Inspector 3/4, the second web page is using the Deflater 3/4 to apply filters the way I want, and the third web page is open to the predictions page.  It is well worth the money to be able to do all of that.

CD thanks for accepting my apology i really would like to try the 50 picks but there are only so many hrs in a day and my kids get out of school next week they are not going to let me behind this pc as much as i have been. i'm not making any excuses because i wan't to.... i also have some pressing other challenges on the house work to deal with. And a bunch of them are outside jobs. I will have lots more time when school starts back up and i can get some pc time during the day.

I like the deflate features in fact i pressed Todd into doing some stuff early on in his venture. He jumped right on it. I was taking the stats and putting them into excel and racking my brain trying to figgure out a way to get rid of all the duplicate numbers everybody imputes in their predictions. To be honest i tried any number of things i found on lottery post to win and i like powertrails. Moreover i have won more money using my own intuition than i have using any particular method or system. I can't quite come to grips with that but there must be some reason. Many times i used prowertrails and got nothing. Then when i didn't use it it would hit go figure.

          10/4 good buddy

I'm gonna give an idea i had that seemed to work pretty good when Todd first created the prediction pages.

Since great minds think alike and a lot of posters have similar numbers in their predictions. i used to take the predictors that hit the same numbers in the same states on a daily basis. I would take their posted predictions and put them into excel each one individually.

Since many posters use the same number many times in their choices of picks like 1234 4321 2341 1432 etc. i would get rid of all but one of those types of numbers. I would do each individual poster i picked numbers from. After i had filtered every posters numbers  i selected. I would look for numbers that posters posted that were the same like numbers. One poster might have posted 1463 and another poster posted 6431 and so on i would look for as many posters numbers that matched another posters numbers.

After doing all this work i would narrow down the selections as best as possible usually only taking numbers from posters picks that matched 3 or 4 times. ( many times only 2 posters might match the same number so if you try this remember that)

The reason i started doing this is that i noticed that many poster were hitting the same numbers in the same states many days of the week.

Now here in lays the problem. Since i filtered duplicate numbers i often deleted like numbers that some posters picked thereby missing a potential pick. Once in a while i would pick the right posters pick from the group of numbers i filtered.

Now if one had the right know how they might be able to take this idea and run with it. In order to make it work you need to deflate every posters numbers separately then combine them and work them for their respective matches.

Of course depending on how many posters you used for your attempt at finding posters whom picked the same picks. You could end up with more choices then you could afford to play and then the only thing to do at that point is to see if some of the best picks match the state your trying to win.

When i was doing this i found that more posters were able to hit the midday numbers than the evening numbers but that suited me just fine as i play them both here in Maryland.

Well do you think this is a good idea. Have you tried doing something like this.

I haven't done what you are suggesting a lot, but again, with the upgraded membership (I sound like a commercial!!), you can do that very easily.

Here is what is predicted for Georgia Midday today, without the "all states" predictions:

What you have to be cautious about is that just because a number shows up a lot of times that does not mean that more than one person picked that number.  Some people post one number many times, but it does show you that there were 69 numbers total picked.  Since that is so many, you could look at them to decide which ones YOU like!

Right you are that has been the problem for me eliminating individuals whom post the same prediction numbers. Like if i posted a number 24 ways and someone else posted a the same number 24 ways. You can't decide whether to include them in the mix or not. In this case i take the first number in the series and keep that. Again that is a problem because it could be the third forth or fifth number in the series that wins. No matter how or what you do with these ideas. it would be impossible if Todd hadn't created the prediction tools.

Keep up the good work CD you do a great job predicting numbers have fun today i'll be back after lunch got to clean the electronic furnace filters it's gonna be time for air conditioning soon.

I think the method of deflating all the predictions might have some merit.  I have not done it much, but I will post it more often and we can look at the results.  Where do you live, four4me?  Lately we have not had to use the AC, but we have a few days recently.  Temp in the high 80s.

I used to do that with the predictions that were on Maybell's old site. See my previous post on page 4 of this same thread. My filters were not nearly as complicated as yours four4me but it worked. And like you, I hit more on intuitve picks, like the ones I get from my kids than any system I have tried so far. With that said, however, I am planning on upgrading my membership soon. This site has quickly become my favorite on the web. (Just gotta talk the hubby into letting me "waste" $8). I'm already just itching to get my claws into some of those abreviated wheels and statistics. CD I may show the hubby your post for my argument. Oh and CD, I'm in Georgia and it is cold! It was so cold yesterday that my husband was actually thinking about starting a fire. So much for global warming. -Bonnie
