$120 for one drawing!!? If you have that kind of money to blow on Powerball tickets, you don't need to win the Powerball jackpot!!
Several individuals have bought $100 or more worth of lottery tickets for one drawing and won both the PowerBall and the BigGame, but most have done it when the jackpot was large. Jack Whitaker who won the large PB jackpot and the guy from Michigan that shared the largest jackpot ever(BigGame) are two that comes to mind.
Yes was hoping it would work for me too but it didn't.
Don't give in to defeat! Keep at it! Even if you save like I do about $20 a month, and play when the jackpot gets big. To me big is anything with a cash value of $20 million or more after taxes. At a $75 million annuity, I felt the time was right. Because I had been planning to do this when the jackpot got to between $20 and $25 million dollars. Sure enough the cash payout is $24 million! It also just happened to fall on the new moon, and the planet Jupiter. So I have a lot going for me.
I used to get furious after losing money each time, but you just have to bite the bullet and keep going, and not let a little bit of defeat get you down. I still have Faith, and still have my systems, even though I wanted to trash them badly. That "1 foot from gold" story in the book where this guy stopped just short of striking the vein, and sold all his equipment to a poor farmer who then went that extra foot to find it, is always in the back of my mind. Sometimes the front!
Not sure if a foot was the exact measurement, but you get the point. But then again if you have enough Faith, and concentrate hard enough, one or two QPs should also get it done. Who really knows how, when, where, or how many it will take. I try to stay in touch with my subconscious mind, and the voice of God to guide me. As I said, it is an ongoing process. When you have more Faith than anyone else believes is even possible, who knows what could happen. You only limit yourself as much as you choose to.

All that studying, and paper work only to miss digits by one, and get one or two numbers on one line tops. Then I go by a QP on a whim for lucky for life, and get 4 out of 6 with the other digits being off by one digit! Yes that was demoralizing to say the least. So you know what, QP do your thing then! "
Not demoralizing, you had visualized winning so you almost got what you were seeing if I'm understanding you correctly.
Yes you're right. perhaps it just came in an unexpected way just like I said! My subconscious mind actually instructed me to get one QP, but at the time I was not really aware of it. Very keen observation Konane! Yes I have been close about 4 times I got 4 out of 6, and if not for that darn $2.00 price I would be able to own that lucky for life. As I said previously, it would not take a real lot to make me happy, I could live fine off of $2,000 a month without having to work. But a couple million and living off of a few thousand more "would be the ticket!"
I do not have to win an enormous jackpot, in fact as I said in the jackpot games forum, I want to hit this powerball before it gets even remotely near breaking the last record, that way no one will care as much! "Yeah yeah...so what, that West family won $340 million dollars, $75 million is not biggy." That is EXACTLY what I want people to be saying! That way I can live on my golf course community with my lifetime golf membership, and actually feel a little bit like Tiger Woods feels like, minus all the publicity and travel! Also minus most of the greens in regulation... I already even looked into the houses, and the total costs to live in the community where I play about 3 times a month in the summer. It would cost anywhere between $170,000 to $300,000 which is not a lot if you win the powerball. That is all I would need to be happy.
A two-story cape cod, 2 car garage garage, 3 or 4 bedrooms, and my clubs and gadgets, I am in heaven! Now if only PA had nice weather more than 4 months a year...But no matter, Tiger Woods and my world's fastest brand new PC, and my vast game collection will get me through it all. As I said, GADGETS!
Yes you are right I do just fine for now, I have faced negativity my whole life, as well as a lot of opposition. But I always fought through it all and conquered most of my circumstances. It is an ongoing process, and I am only getting better, and learning more each day. I am Taurus, so you may know I am quite stubborn. The key is make that stubbornness work for you, not against you.
I hope you get everything you want and more as I hope everyone can achieve their dreams!!
Do be reminded that when you "forget about things and put them totally out of your mind" is when they manifest in the most wonderful way, greater than your expectations. However, letting go is the hardest part but that comes with trusting yourself and trusting the process.
Yes, Taurus is quite stubborn, quite grounded so you're not giving up easily at all!!
If this thread disappears from this particular forum I've asked Todd to put it in Mystical since we're discussing visualization. Dunno if he will move it but that's where we will be if we "wink out"of here.

Yeah I was going to post about this thread possibly being moved to the mystical section. Maybe a good idea actually in order to preserve it. I appreciate your input, and have enjoyed the discussion that has come out of all this with you, and others. Again, part of the ongoing process...Yes I have always been quite grounded, and the sign Taurus is all about reliability, strength, courage, money/luxuries, perseverence, calmness, and indomitable spirit to name a few.
These personal characteristics were only further instilled during my 25 year journey studying the martial arts since age 7. So that should give you an idea where most of my attributes stemmed from.
Although the process did not begin without me first visualizing what I wanted to do, as it did with all my other hobbies that I excelled at very quickly due to my unshakable self-confidence and fortitude, as well as extreme commitment to reach my fullest potential physically, mentally, and spiritually. But it all started with a "choice," and a belief in that choice that it would become "reality." And as I said previously, I have no plans of stopping now.

The PowerBall odds are about 1 in 146,000,000 I believe. So what would the odds be if you bought 100 tickets for 100 shots? Would that be 146,000,000 divided by 100 for a 1 in 1,460,000 odds? I may try this, plus some filtering that could reduce the odds by millions more.
since it's not really random, it depends as much on which state (and where within those states?) you buy those tickets as you buying those tickets in the first place.
i'd never buy 100 tickets in arizona, oklahoma or washington dc for the powerball jackpot. i have no idea about louisiana. i might be tempted to do so in missouri, pennsylvania or idaho. 8 years ago, i would have been tempted to do so in wisconsin and (especially) indiana. i don't know which states produce the most winners all around in all prize levels, but whichever states do, if i had the money, sure i'd be more tempted to drop dough in those states than elsewhere, whether or not they produced the most jackpot winners, simply because they've been proven to be seeded best, drawing after drawing.
of course, are you using a wheel or quickpicks for those 100?
in any case, to severely paraphrase something stated before by someone else regarding the employees who won the MM in California: it doesn't take a lot of money put down to win. it just takes having the winning combination to win.

Somehow saying 100 tickets cuts the odds down to 1 in 1.4M doesn't make sense to me. Down's answer sounds more logical. If you buy 100 tickets you have 100 chances in 146 million which is not the same as 1 in 1,460,000....is it? I mean, if there are 146 million combinations, then there are still 145,900 others, right? Of course the more numbers you play, the better chances you have of hitting the jackpot so the odds do change..from very, very, very, very slim to just very, very, very slim. So they are definitely improved by buying 100 tickets!
Worldwide asked about purchasing every possible combination. This has been brought up many times in various conversations. I'm not sure how many panels are on one PB card but you'd have to complete hundreds of thousands of cards and then over 1.4 million combinations would have to be printed. It wouldn't happen. Even if someone could accomplish this, no retailer could print them. My question would be why anyone with a million dollars cash would even think about taking such a chance. I also agree with Iesha that you just need the right combination, since many multi-million dollar winners in FL bought just one ticket. Some people who win never bought a ticket in their lives.

I agree Iesha, all it takes is to win is having the right combination. I don't think I could spend $100 dollars on powerball without some major thought. The odds are still way against you even with the hundred.

Yes, but you got it out of your system or you went broke.

I noticed that all my QPs made quite a good wheel! I thought there would be a lot of repeats, and there were some, but no numbers were missing! All digits 1 through 55 on my 60 tickets came up at least once, and multiple times in many odd combinations. That is good, because most of the drawings I have seen are very odd! Lots of consecutives, repeats, etc. Almost as if the terminal is using a system! Hopefully the terminal and I can get some good results tonight. It is very strange, and actually quite fun to have so many lines/tickets. Never had that before. Will take awhile to check all those numbers. Not sure if all the powerball numbers were covered though yet, as there was quite a few repeats. I doubt it though being there are 42, and only 60 lines.

Yeah, I agree that purchasing all the combinations is not a good idea even if it were possible. You'd lose big if the lottery sold another jackpot winning ticket.

This may help you...boil three lemons, cut them in four, take the pieces and throw them down a sewer and place a quarter on each corner of the sewer. Contiune to concentrate on your desires.

Cool, where did you hear that one from? I won't be checking my numbers until Tuesday morning, and will be leaving my tickets in the visor until then. Course I am not sure if this will work if it is "planned" maybe you just have to actually be idiotic? But I did see the drawing, and I am not too thrilled by instinct, and memory alone. I remember thinking last night while looking at my tickets that these are all pretty good combos, but if this number or that number comes up I am screwed. I believe I saw some of those numbers tonight. I hope I am wrong. No doubt it will be another roll-over though.
As of right now I am afraid to look, probably later on tonight. I also hope I did not bring that bad numbers outcome on with my thoughts. As I said it will be a bitter pill to swallow to lose, and I hate rebounding, except in basketball. But next time I will be trying 60 tickets using all my systems, and filtering processes to compare results. If that does not work, (of course it will ) I will be splitting 30/30 up with my numbers, and QPs. I don't care what it takes, or how long it takes...I will be holding that BIG damn cardboard powerball check up one day at the press conference, and/or I will win a million(s) dollar jackpot *cough* Millionaire Raffle* one day soon. I guarantee it!

Thanks all for the support. Well...I checked my tickets one time. At first I was pretty ticked while going down through the first few. I was getting soooo close as usual. I had two numbers on multiple lines, and was missed by one to three digits on the other numbers. But first off I ran through very quickly and checked off all powerball matches, I just could not resist. I matched the powerball 3 times (36) which I thought well great $9 bucks at least.
Then one number on ticket 3 really came close! The winning numbers were:
2 15 26 37 42 36
My play was:
10 15 25 37 40 - 37 !
I thought to myself, wow...there went my chance. I think that may be the closest I have ever came to date so far, but I am not sure. I will have to check some of my numbers history. 2 lousy numbers, and the rest off by a digits or a few. That one turned my stomach.
Then on ticket 6 on the first line I had 15 19 34 37 42 - 36
I thought great 2 more lousy numbers. I then looked again, and saw 3 numbers! I was like wow cool it has been a long time since I got 3 numbers. Another $7.00! BUT look at those numbers again. Yes I then noticed on that line that I also had the powerball circled as a winner! I have never gotten 3 numbers and the powerball before, so I forgot how much it paid. Something in the back of my mind told me $100, but I was skeptical and thought maybe $20 or so. I checked, and sure enough I was right! $100 bucks!
On the last ticket I bought at store number one! I still can't even believe I won that much, but man oh man why not just the other two numbers also?! My heart has not skipped a beat in quite some time, and I must say it did feel good. If only if only though as usual. But I will take the pay back, and then some! See Konane has the investment gave me almost double my money back! But just not the big one quite yet. I think all the visualization starting to work, and the seeds are planted.
I believe my total return will be about $109.00, I will check again tommorow to be sure. I will be reinvesting it of course to continue my good luck, and hopefully next time I will get all 6! I am not complaining though, a win is a win...but 2 numbers away from a life altering jackpot, and all my dreams coming true....OUCH!
