I'll bet if it does, the jackpot will be at least $415 million.

The Powerball lottery set a new 5 roll record of $63.5 million for the Mar 11 draw. The previous 5 roll record was $52 million and it was set under the old matrix

The Mega Millions 5 roll record is $53 million.

Both multistate lotteries continue to set roll records.

    Good luck,

And of course as noted in another thread...Powerball set a new record for having the lowest cash value ever.  All these new records are nothing more than smoke and mirrors desigined to hype the game and sucker those who get excited by so called Record Breaking jackpots.  The reality is the extended 30 year backloaded annuity (which nobody takes) is a bogus marketing plan that covers up the reduced cash value.  Nothing has really changed except the fact that there are fewer winners, reduced cash values and much more hype.

Oh and by the way...Powerball also set another new record:

For the first time ever they had a 10X's multiplier and didn't have to pay out a 5 number prize.

What is the record for the most consecutive draws without a second place winner?

That is not correct. There were two winners of the second prize (match 5 numbers).

        Good luck,

According to Powerball's press release, last night's draw sold over $24 million worth of tickets. Texas Lotto Report reported sales of just over $19 million, so $5 million worth of PowerPlays were sold. Therefore, the MUSL statistically expected one PowerPlay match 5 winner.

PB likes to have guaranteed annunity jackpots just like CA SLP. Therefore, the cash value is less than expected. People taking annual payments will get lots of money from a backload.

I think Powerball sales are returning to normal for the jackpot level it is at.

I would like to see this one go awhile, but I plan on stepping in and winning it in April. But after I win, I will gladly let the next pot roll to at least 300 million before I play again.

I hope it continues to roll and make new records. I think people are more interested in PB when it reached the cap level. At 340 million, 49 tickets match 5/5, but missed the PB. At 365 million, 42 tickets match 5/5, but missed the PB. PB is doing a great job limiting 5/5 and fewer jackpot winners.

I'd say. This far into last year, Powerball had SIX jackpot winners; this year, it's had only one so far.
