Jake649, the PB drawing for Saturday night hit 29.1 million (annunity). It didn't set a new record by .1 million for a roll 2 record, but it was very close. However, the estimated jackpot for Wednesday will be 37 million, so records won't come any time soon.

The Powerball lottery set a new 8 roll record of $101.9 million for the May 13 draw. The previous 8 roll record was $101.3 million.

The Mega Millions 8 roll record is $117 million.

This is the first Powerball roll record set in this jackpot run. Mega Millions has not set any records in its current jackpot run.

    Good luck,
    Jake

Jake649, I hope PB continues to roll. However, the estimated PB Jackpot stands at 114 million for 5/17 while the record is 117.6 million for a roll 9 record in a previous run.

With the jackpot just hit, PB ties the record for its highest starting jackpot. Beat you to it!

lol However, its opening cash jackpot is the lowest its been since the matrix change ($6.6 million, actually less than Mega Millions'). Damn increase in interest rates!! Of course, 30.28855% of first draw sales is probably only about $4.4 million anyway, so the guaranteed jackpot is still above the amount of sales actually allocated to it.
