Goes to prove once again a man can't trust a machine much further than he can trust another human being.

Ah well.  Maybe those two 5 of 5 Pick 5s I was watching will come in anyway.

    Thanks for pointing it out.

A 6 of 6 win would have been $25,000, I would say that you hit 2 - 5's, 5 - 4's, and 15 - 3's or something like that. Your percentage is high because you did it in 50 combinations. Still not bad, congratulations.

          Yep.

Not a computer error..... just a lot of small hits instead of a single larger one.

          Can't win'em all.

Maybe those Pick 5s will still come in

Surely am getting tired of looking at stars and trying to get numbers out of them.  Once I get a good 'un or three I can leave that theory behind and go on to something else.

          Thanks Padawan and RJOH.

(Exclude Pick 3 and Pick 4 from this):

We can post all the theories we want about jackpot games, back testing, etc....but it all falls under woulda shoulda coulda until someone hits solid.

Til then, it's kind of like a person who is 150 pounds overweight giving out diet and fitness advice.

Of course, once someone does hit solid and win a jackpot and hang around, anything they say will be "gospel".

"Well, I thought Timmy was nuts when he talked about sneezing on pages in the phone book to pick numbers, but hey, he's the one who won a jackpot, so AAACHHHOOOO!"

Wow!  Then they'll let me talk about the moon?

            Coooool.

How much "proof" does it require to convince wager buffs that there are system's available to assist in sensible wagering practice's that can genuinely lead to success? There is never, I repeat NEVER, going to be a system available that will hand to you, (on a platter), the exact winning numbers to wager without personal time, involvement, understanding, commitment, and cost. Anyone thinking anything else is totally waisting there time and living in a total time gap that would be better off spent studying Greek Mythology. This graph provides positive evidence that systems DO work when positive commitment is applied, and sensible, timely, effort is provided. The lines ending in a + were PREDICTED utilizing the StatPath 5 Lotto System.

            Interesting, ain't it?

Where ever you turn you're met with dead silence.

Here you are, a nice guy..... probably aren't blocked by a single person on LP.

Here you are handing something over, asking nothing in return, judging from the fact you posted it.

            Here you are being invisible.

Here are you posting repeatedly, the product of a lot of work.

            Invisible.

What in the dickens is that all about, you reckon?

The weird thing (to me) is that I have a notion I might hit two 5 of 5s tonight using numbers derived from triangulations on a particular star using the official azimuths and celestial positions posted at the US Naval Observatory site.

            If I don't hit two 5 of 5s, you'll see several 4 of 5s (I'm thinking)

You ain't seen invisible until you watch what follows that if I try to talk about it.

Coin Toss talks a lot about the difference between knowledge and opinion.  But what, exactly, is knowledge?

Knowledge is the brain telling the muscles controlling the eyelids to shut tight whenever there's information that conflicts with it.  Knowledge is opinion poured in concrete, reinforced with steel.

Opinion is anything that disagrees with knowledge coming from some other source.

            Thank's Jack...

I really don't know, but the silence really is deafening, isn't it? I guess my work is only important to me and a couple others. I have given this considerable thought, and this is as good a place as any to end whatever it is grinding away inside me proving to an invisible crowd something that isn't being heard. So, I will say goodby to all those that are obviously annoyed with knowledge, learning, and success and give it and myself a much needed rest.

Maybe we can take a pre-poll survey of how many graduates of Maven U. we actually have - Maven U, "Opinion Over Knowkledge" - and go from there.

The problem with knowledge is that's so frequenly just opinion dressed up for church.

Looks as though almost half the people who responded to this poll are worried more about what other LP members think of them than other matters when it comes to posting theories.

I suppose all of us would like to know God's thoughts, so long as God don't think nuthun we don't like.

I like it best when he ain't telling someone they need to go smite someone hip and thigh, or take whatever some neighbor has, kill'em all, slaughter their livestock and make slaves of their kids.

I've got a notion if God had been a bit more circumspect about the orders he gave those ancient Hebrews things might be going a lot easier today.

Failing that, if he'd insisted the record-keepers edit out the gruesome, gory, send-two she-bears out-of-the-woods to kill some (20, maybe 40, I forget which) kids who called a favorite of His 'old bald-headed-one' stuff it might have caused us moderns to lighten up a bit.

I think God's been a bit to liberal in letting us know what He was thinking in times past. Maybe it's best He keeps us guessing if He's got more of that sort of thing in mind.

                      Elisha at Bethel

                      2 Kings 23

Call him old bald headed one
                      Would they?
                      Taunt and yell
                      An old man walking
                      Those 40 children?

He stood it for a while
                      Our Lord, their mocking
                      Tried to hold his anger
                      Our heavenly Father
                      Tried restraint
                      But failed

                      When Elisha cursed

                      The urchins in His name

                      Sent two she-bears
                      From the woods
                      To teach them manners
                      Tore them all apart

                      All 40 cheeky kids
                      Smote them hip and thigh

                      Those 40 children

                      Forty two, in fact,

                      But what’s a couple

                      More or less?

                      Copyright©2003 Jack Purcell

On the other hand, maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to give some thought to what God thinks about the theories we post.  Two she-bears is a lot by almost any standard.

Beautiful poetry - Jack Purcell.  No need to know God's thoughts.

For Albert Eintein, he was a troubled man, and so one night, as he gazed up the universe, he lamented, "I want to know God's thoughts.  The rest are details."

He couldn't know God's thoughts, so went on to explain everything by his famous E=mc square.  Everything is relative?

Another physicist, Niel Bohr thought that theory was flawed, and told Albert Einstein, "Stop telling God what he must do."

Fact or fiction.  Einstein's or God's.  True or false.  Time or space.  Past or present.  Black or white.  Before or after.  Knowledge or opinion ...

If you have not posted publicly something you noticed in the numbers, why not ?

Most of those 43 are unaccounted for.

What I find curious is the matter of, among those few of the 43 k who did answer this poll 1/6th thought someone would ridicule them if they posted, so they don't.

How in the name of the Eye of Horus could ANY member get a crazy idea such as that one?
