Sensenbrenner is a foe of illegal aliens
U.S. Rep. James Sensenbrenner of Wisconsin, known for his strong opposition to illegal immigration, won the lottery for the third time last week, the Associated Press reported Friday.
The Republican — already a millionaire — hit it big in 1997 with a $250,000 jackpot in the District of Columbia lottery. Then, last spring, he won $1,000 prize in the Wisconsin lottery, and he won another $1,000 in that lottery last week, the AP said.
Sensenbrenner was born into a family that helped build Kimberly-Clark Corp., maker of Kleenex tissue and Scott paper towels, and he recently reported a net worth of about $11.6 million, the AP said.
Sensenbrenner is a leader in the fight against illegal aliens who break immigration laws. He authored a bill last year to crack down on illegal immigration. The measure, which passed in the House, triggered a protest by hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants and their supporters, marching in the streets, and unwittingly demonstrating the depth of the problem.

Obviously the lottery isn't played by only poor people.
Rich and poor they both want (More) money, not that they are going to get it, but they think that they might, a very few will of course.
Even Bill Gates wouldn't mind having more money.

Be good if someone in Wisconsin would send this guy an email requesting he initiate a federal law banning computerized lotteries.

Since I got 3 responses to this comment (thank you) I want to mention that I was being facetious. (hope my use of the word is correct)
People are always saying that only the poor and desperate play the lottery, so this is just one example, among many, of why that statement isn't true. They also say "it only takes one" which is true, but I sometimes feel that people who can blow $50 in one night have a greater shot at winning a jackpot, just using a little common sense. Tonight I bought my regular 4 Lotto tickets and the man in back of me asked for 10 Lotto and 10 Fantasy 5. We both have a chance, but his odds are a little better, especially in Fantasy 5, since I didn't buy any!
Isn't every congressman a winner of the DC lottery?
I hope he steps forward, claims cash value, and doesn't have problems later in life.
With his family fortune, I don't think he will have financial problems later in life ... LOL

I’ve got a Gallup poll (done by them on their own and not a hire by any lottery or any church group) that says that the average lottery player is slightly more educated and has a slightly higher income than the average American – mostly that the lottery is played by pretty much everyone (except that the very poor and the very rich play in lower numbers for entirely different reasons).
Sadly, the myth continues. There is going to be a CBS news report out next week (planned for Monday evening) that repeats the myth that the poor play the lottery – apparently based on sales in certain zip codes (where do you buy your lottery ticket?). Imagine that. Lottery tickets are sold in those poor areas where they have gas stations and such – probably lots of apartment buildings too. It turns out that the poor buy most of the gas and groceries too (based on zip code sales).
