Send me a hundred dollars in twenty's.  When I win the jackpot I will remember your name and reward you accordingly.  Those that choose not to send me cash will receive a likewise percentage of the jackpot I claim.  Thats fair!

Yes if it was a system that person gave me with the sequence of #s that won $$$$$$$$.  Won $25,000 at a casino and gave the cashier $100.00 for counting the $$$$$$.  God bless and good luck.

Obligation!    Is a strong word when used out of term.  Would I show kindness if I won a jackpot?  Yes! Because thats my nature.  I have met some very nice thoughtful members on this post.  From day one, I have been stressing togetherness and love of each other on this post.  As in human nature of many.  Some just can't seem to get beyond the player hater stage.   There are members on this post that I would most certainly share with in some type or way.  I am proud to be a member of this post.  I hope in the furture, we can truly become a close knit family.   My system I used when predicting  numbers comes from within.  I share my feelings with all, and is not looking for anything anything in return but a thank you, or a job well done.   Why should I pay them for a system that is no better that mine?  We should exchange ideas.   A combination of different ideas just might generate a win.  This is what I believe the LOTTERY POST should be about. But, who am I?  I am just a fairly new contributing member to this post.  One more thing.  How can anyone come up with a system that is a sure thing, when the possibility remains that the hold thing might be fixed?  Yes, Todd would get something from me.  Must it be money?  If it would be money, only Todd and I would know.  Friends should not put value on friendship.  Feeling obligated, is one feeling I try my best to stay away from. Just a thought!

Nope, I have no idea why this is even a poll. I would prolly buy a LP platinum/premium package tho, thats a big prolly cause I think the rest of my gambling days would be in Vegas if I won some huge jackpot.

But I do feel obligated to ask for money if someone on LP wins it big, heck the worst they can say is NO :)

Friendship and money does it ever meet evenly and if the opposite person was to have the  money would  the ratio of giving be the same . So if person " A " was to win a Lottery and give  friend "B "

X $$ -- But if person "B" was to win the lottery - he would give friend " A"  X$$$$.  Whats the true value of friendship ---or does it depends on financial needs or wants or size of family and friends . It be intresting if what I had planned for family and friends with my share of my winnings and what their plans for me ???  $$$$  or $ How good of a friend are you ???  MMMMmmm interesting how money makes you thing and do the funnyest things !Roll Eyes

You got that backward, the question was "If you won a large jackpot, would you feel obligated to share w/LP Members?" not "If someone at LP won a jackpot, would you feel obligated to ask them for money?"

I do, remember what happened just before the ending? That's how things would probably end up if you threw money around "shared the wealth".Leaving

Giving people (especially strangers) money can be the worst thing you can do. If you want to do something, help them in another way.

                      You can't predict random.

I was looking for the 'HELL TO THE NO, BOBBY BROWN' option .. wasn't given .. in any case, i'm more curious with the individuals that claim that they would share with us [?] if they won.  seriously? like, most of us have never and will never meet and yet you would still give out money or feel obligated to? really? like dude, seriously, you don't owe anyone on this site a red penny - so for it to be even entertained .. someone pull those people seperately and start another poll ... ? .. I don't know, something about if they took their meds today! it's not even something that entered my mind - to share with my many family members and friends .. and to add all you guys!? how many members are there even on LP? i still can't wrap my brain around the idea of sharing my lotto money with any of you [then again, i'm not the sweetest cookie in the jar] but still .. maybe throw a party for LP members, one time dinner 6-9 be there or be square type of deal - but that about it ..

In my opinion, I wouldn't be obligated to share with anyone if I bought a ticket myself.  However, if I were in a pool with LP members or anyone else for that matter, of course I'd have to share with all the pool members.

I run a lottery pool with my coworkers and if we win, we all have to share.  For the tickets I buy on my own, I don't have to share with anyone.

                          Just my opinion.

I worked with a guy who would tell everybody when the Lotto was high that he would share with them if he won the jackpot. It sounded like a nice gesture until two other employees split a $20 million jackpot. That was over 10 years ago and he still says they "cheated him" out of his share. He never won a jackpot so we'll never know if he would share, but that wasn't his intentions; his nice gesture was meant to form an unwanted partnership with everybody he knew that bought Lotto tickets.

People that play in pools never think about it because they never hit a jackpot, but I'll bet most of them buy their own tickets too. There might be an unwritten contract in the minds of the other players they should share. Many lawsuits have been filed when the person running the pool hit the jackpot with his own tickets and a judge had to decide if those tickets actually belonged to him or the pool.

When I read threads on LP asking who we would share with, I think it's more to create good vibes. But before I start sounding like a cynic, there are many people LP that have shared in private ideas and gifts with me. So of course I'll remember them.

I run a pool at work and fortunately, I've found a way around the issue of my tickets vs the pool's.  I collect from the members every payday and buy multidraw tickets that cover the next 4 drawings.  I make photocopies of the tickets and give them to all the members so they know exactly what tickets their money bought.

I buy single draw tickets for myself, often at a different store, so there's no confusion.
