If only God understands exactly how intelligent design works, then how can anyone know its working or working properly?

I not really understanding what your trying to say. I would think that he has his way of letting you no.Have you ever

had a feeling that you were going  to win. On TV the lottery Curse there was a girl who want to get her boyfriend out of the army she told him that she was going to win she just had a feeling, so she brought one ticket, and she won. I would think he understand he give you the knowledge to be intelligent, so that you can no how a design works.

That means EVERYBODIES ideas are gibberish, if there even is a God.

I'm thinking I should just pray that others players will lose. That gives me a much better chance of having my prayers answered.

If that's your prayer then it's getting answered a lot.Blue Angel      Evil Looking

Humans need food to live.  By buying that coffee, you're feeding your body.

Lottery is like cigarettes, if you're lucky, you'll live long with no problems at all; that's your jackpot.

So think about which one is blessed.....

Since eating is mandatory in life, it's our responsibliilty as humans to eat in moderation and exercise.  You pray that people will take care of their bodies and live long and healthy life.  You also pray that people will save money and become less addicted to the lottery.

So if you're praying to win, you might as well pray to cigarette smokers.

If your church says it's ok to pray for the lottery, you need to find a new church.

I never said my church told me to pray for the lottery. I have my own mind and saying a prayer was the way that i want to express myself.  I don't pray that people take care of their bodies that there choice as well as cigarette smokers. When and if i buy ticket and i chose to say a pray that my choice.

P.S. My church says not to play the lottery, but I believe that if i won gave them some they would take it no question asked. That is why i decide what i want to do.

This isn't the Middle Ages anymore the CHURCH doesn't make the rules, doesn't make any laws that can result in serious or severe punishment if broken.Churches may voice there opinion regarding things like sex, gambling, alcohol etc.... but it's just there opinion we as free will human beings make the final decision.

A guy in New York hit a jackpot or scratcher a few months ago for quite a sum of money and gave it all to his church.

For this conversation, let's take that scenario and tweak it a little....

Let's say someone belongs to a small, struggling church, gets a hunch about some numbers and plays them twice, same numbers on two tickets.

The numbers all come in and both tickets will share the prize.

So the next Sunday, he drops one of the tickets in the offering plate.

              Sticky wicket that, eh?

Also, for this discussion since we're talking aboit lottery, gambling, in general, and churches, ahem, Bingo!

When the casino industry started expanding nation wide there was a lot of opposition. A lot of it came from Catholic churches in the river communities that the boats were going to open in. Funny thing, the issue was competiton with their bingo games more so than any moral or ethical matters.

Alcoa presents: You make the call!

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any.

              Lep

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

One day I had went to lunch with friends had a couple of beers saw my pastor that day he went to give me a hug

, and I for warn him that my breath smell like beer, because i had a couple. I make up my mind about what I'm going to do, and if it a sin according to the bible that something that I will ask forgiving for. How about my father see him a couple day later, and he listening to Arthea Franklin Ain't know way for me to love you the way that i do. My father

said he better not try and tell me what to do. On the lottery curse some of the people that won gave money to the church, and not one said that gave it back.

                     God, understands your needs, and if you want a lottery win to help you with your finances; he may just grant it;

                    It is only a sin to gamble if you spend the money on yourself, and don't think of others who are in need and could use your financial assistance;

If I won enough money, I would definitely help people that need help.. I wouldn't give money to people that want money, just because I was fortunate enough to win it, only those with a real need...See Ya!

GOD does not grant wishes and prayers like that when a person wins the lottery it was all his doing no divine intervention.I read an article awhile back of a guy who was a DRUG dealer that won the lottery and continued too sell drugs and even owed back child support. He got caught and was ordered too pay all support he owed but he was still allowed too keep his lottery win but had too pay for other things because of his conviction. So I cannot believe that GOD decides who wins, answers prayers too win after reading stuff like this some of the people that win the lottery are criminnals not just people who are in need of money or already have money.

(It is only a sin to gamble if you spend the money on yourself, and don't think of others who are in need and could use your financial assistance;)

Actually it's not a sin PERIOD you can do  what you want with your money if a person wins the lottery and decides not too share it with his friends, family, co-workers,homeless or people in need well that's his choice.GOD does not tell us what too do with our money man has FREE WILL too make his own chioces and decisions right or wrong.Besides lottery winners are not obligated too share their winnings that's not indicated on the ticket stories I read of criminals winning money never shared there money even the ones that owed back child support they had too be FORCED by law too pay what they owed.If I won the lottery I would spend it on myself and no one else if that was my choice it's my money I won it when other people win I don't expect them too give me anything even if I was homeless there are organisations/facilities/programs that are available for people down on there luck.

I knew that there were people that would disagree with me, and think that God does not answer prayers about the lotttery, but I happen to think he does.. You can disagree all you want..

If I was ever fortunate enough to win, and I am speaking for myself, I would not be selfish and just spend the money on myself, I know when I needed help, and someone other than an organization could help me, I was grateful!

Yes, I have read stories as well about criminals winning the lottery as well, I am speaking about people in general that did pray for help with financial needs, health needs, etc... and their prayers were answered..

Some people win the lottery with out ever praying to win, thet jusy have alot of good fortune and happen to win!Party

Okay "FAIR ENOUGH" but this comment  below is definitely wrong it's not just an opinion of mine it's a fact no where in the bible does it mention anything about gambling many people will take certain verses and use them too say it's talking about gambling like being good stewards or relying on GOD for your needs but I haven't had any relgious person be able too show me definite proof about gambling being a sin whether they spend the money on themselves or not.

(It is only a sin to gamble if you spend the money on yourself, and don't think of others who are in need and could use your financial assistance;)
