Here's the question, why do we play the lottery?  Why not just save our cash in the bank and draw interest on the thing.  I hear so much complaining about not winning; and if they do win,  it's not often that it happens for them; then why' what's the real reason!

forget what "they" say about youWhat you say about you?...

Now, does it count??

We play because it's the working slob's only chance of ever really making a life changing score and getting out of the trap.

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any.

    Lep

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

For some people that first win is the thing that keeps them going back for more then it sometimes develops into an addiction the highs and lows of winning and loosing. To fuel that addiction people play more numbers. Gamblers will say people will spend twice as much as they won trying to win again.

Say you put 200.00 in the bank is it going to give you that much interest. no, but a dollar can net you sums of money no other investment will do.

In order for a person to make money they need an investment account and some of those require funding 5 to 10 grand and right now the stock market is very unstable.

No matter what your station in life, you'd like to have a better one. That's simple human nature. The lottery provides a shot at that, however small. It's also a fun pastime and hobby that can be as inexpensive as you want it to be all the while providing a very small but real chance for you to live out your wildest dreams.

I play because I want the chance to win millions and also, playing the lottery is a hobbie of mine.

Yes, for me it is better than Wall Street at least I know why my stock went down; I spent it and not a broker I don't really know. I like Thinking of myself as an Investor in Digits Stock!!

                I play because it's fun.

For most people, it's like the bumper sticker I saw the other day:

"Face it, your only hope is the lottery".

I'm tired of people's sob stories.  If you're low on money, don't play the lottery.  "The poor gets poorer"

                  Whenever life gets you down,
And things seem hard or tough,
And people are stupid, obnoxious or daft,
And you feel that you've had quite enough,
Just remember your ticket might win the lottery,
And things start to look up.

Kinda ripped from the Monty Python song:
                  When Life Gets Your Down.

I remember reading about this guy in Africa who
couldn't even afford shoes, but bought a lottery
ticket for every draw.  Eventually he won a small
jackpot that was a fortune for him in that area.

It pays to take action to maintain hope.  The poorer
you are, the more effort you should put into picking
                  one combination for each draw.

I inherited some stock when my dad passed away a few years ago. Up to that point I never paid much attention to the stock market. Well, when it started to disappear before my very eyes, I sure started to pay attention. I can honestly say that if I hit a jackpot, the stock market is the very last place the money will be. And the interest that banks pay is not even enough to offset inflation.

So, I play to be qble to retire and enjoy life.

I do not play.  Now that might sound strange but let me explain.  I use the lotto as a source of random numbers.  Using those numbers I explore all the patterns and try to find a link between most of them.  Year to date, my total investment in the lotto is less than $25 (and those were QP's bought on a whim).  I have found much enjoyment in just researching for an algorithym that will produce a profitable investment.

Should I succeed in doing the impossible, I don't know what I will do with the rest of my life.  Find another impossible dream to pursue, I guess.
