I really cannot understand where the saying of the WORDS, "NO thank you Not interested" When a begger is around is considered rude. I consider it a human right to say No.  I do not enable others or insult them so why should a complete stranger come up and insult my being when I chose to say no to their request.

MSNBC did a news episode on professional beggers. They rake in more then I do (and I work an honest job). A lady deliberately takes her kids out on the streets to beg. She even said during the news interview that to her it is a full time job with benefits. Never mind that she exploits her kids to get money or uses the kindness of strangers to support her lifestyle.

I had a lady do this in AC one time. She hounded me up and down the boardwalk yelling Sure go into a casino and blow your money instead of helping a person who is in need. I turned around and tossed her a quarter telling her call someone who cares. So I broke a self promise to not give a begger a dime, I gave em a quarter! :)  Then I had a guy in a military jacket in Vegas spouting how he served in wars and It was my duty to give him some money. People would use such odd means to get money from folks.

Im going to handle it this way  ......with everyone..... I will help you  pay something you re having trouble paying     just show me your bill.  No

cash would ever change hands.   I would give to charities but only select few.  Any one dealing with helping children  is a priority.

I think it's because some people believe that money won is not the same as money earned. Like, the money wasn't really deserved or something. So those people (the ones who beg), have no problem with asking jackpot winners to share their money. I have no idea why some people believe that though.

I agree, when are they gonna start sharing with us? The president said he's gonna spread the wealth around. I'm tired of waiting!

I'm not stingy but I can keep what I want to keep..Like the woman in Fla who hit millions the first time they had the lottery in Fla in the 80's she had to give almost all of it away so she could live with her friends in her trailer park..I'm moving they can't hit a moving target!!!..Only one thing wrong..I gotta hit!!!..

Well the least he could do is give us some of Barbara Streisand and Alec Baldwin's money!

They don't need all of that!

When I think of the word Beggars, I define it like the dictionary.  If I won the big one, I can't imagine having a

problem with beggars.  Many cities now have laws forbiding begging.  Its not that hard to avoid for the most

part.  And I doubt if winning millions, and I lived in a poor section of town, that I wouldn't move into a better

area.  Believe me, beggars will never be a problems, maybe some change or a couple of bucks.  For the most

part, your not really talking about beggars.

Your talking about family, co-workers, con men, charities, moochers, leaches, looters, lawyers, churches ,

brokers.  These are the one's you have to watch for, they will take it all, if you let them.  Don't confuse the two.
