Anyone think certain stores seem luckier than others? I do. I've gotten 3 $100 tickets from Wegmans, but I usually strike out or don't do well (like today I spent $80.00, mostly from prior winnings, and got NOTHING back.) Giant is usually better. The only reason I played lotto at Wegmans is because I was shopping there for groceries.

I have to agree with you on this,I bought a classic black,it had a thick white line as well..I won $50.00,I have noticed it with other tickets as well,I also have noticed that if you scratch a ticket mainly the  ten or twenty  tickets,if  you find a number 22 , it's not going to be a winner...Just an observation!

I've been reading everyone's posts about ticket number 022 not being a winner. Well this morning I purchased two Red Hot Millions and didn't even look to see what ticket numbers they were. On ticket number 021 I won $50 and on ticket number 022 I won...$15! I know its not much, but I was excited. As I was scratching, I looked down to see what ticket number it was and when I saw 022 I thought "I'm gonna lose on this one."

Anyone know of the white/yellow line on Florida tickets? Which tickets are more visible?

              .

Hi - i'm new here and new to gambling.  I used to just buy whatever scratch looked "fun" but after doing research here, i realized it's better to go with newer games or ones with LOTS of top prizes left.  So - i went to the corner store to get some scratch tickets.  I wanted to see the backs of them to see the lines you guys talk about.  I bought some tickets, scratched, some win, some (without lines) lost . I went to buy more with my $9 ($4 net) winnings.  I ask to see the back of the tickets again.  The owner of the store yelled at me, said i can't look at the back of the tickets anymore and then he kicked me out of the store.  I was shocked.  I'm a  young girl with a proper job.  I'm not some drunk person off the street.  I was polite and nice, and he attacked me.

I simply said "i want to buy "X" ticket, but can i see the back of it first?" and i was nice and smiled, etc.

How are the rest of you able to see the back of the tickets BEFORE you buy??  I don't think i want to attempt to do this again.  It was very embarrassing as the store was full of people.  Needless to say, i will never return there and almost feel like complaining to the lottery in my state about this business.

                Thoughts/opinions?

Is there a way to use the "look at the lines" strategy if you buy from the machine? Because I've gotten all kinds of patterns on the back with no clear way of telling so far.
